At the speed of which Pwc are getting rid of it,it must be a fire sale at cheap prices.Pwc want this out the way as soon as possible so they can pick up their fees. 4 weeks into winding down and the fig's are starting to come in. "Meanwhile the Government has revealed that it has already spent �150m on financing the wind down of Carillion". I would imagine this fig is up till 2nd Feb or just 3 weeks so their spend is �50m a week compared to carillions plan of �20m. Redundancies now approaching 1000 and parts of the business being sold off for undisclosed amounts-looking good!!

Brexit supporters will tell you that EU has more to lose than UK,so lets make that assumption and the Euro falls.On that basis how are we going to export to Europe?. At the weekend it was said the Germans hide behind a weak currency so they can export more.I believe the Germans will be more than happy for UK to leave on no deal,as both the euro and sterling will be weaker. Germany produces things that the world desires and our manufacturing in the main is metal bashing for foreign companies.We can change but it could be a painful period,anyone prepared to guess how long?. One thing we are good at is service's and finance for which we are a leader in Europe.If we're not doing Europe how easy is it going to be,busting into New York,Tokyo or Shanghai?

I think they could have asked more probing questions on how the net debt figs mysteriously always look good on set dates ie 31st Dec.On the 10th July TU they said that net debt at 31st Dec 2017 would be lower than the net debt at 30th June 2017 which was stated as �536m-they didn't have a clue really! Never say never when it comes to Carillion, if it can be proven that KPMG or Deloittes have acted negligently then lots of ambulance chasers out there.They reported before Works and pensions committee on frid 2nd Feb but haven't bothered to look up what was said yet. The only trouble here is the big 4 make far too much money for HMG so i can only see a cover up developing and even if some sort of justice was dished out then prehaps the Grand children might be able to have a slap up fish and chip supper in 10yrs time. We knew things were a bit precarious at Carillion but not this bad.I never did like �1.6 billion of goodwill and that vanishes when liquidated.The other thing was i thought HMG would help when pushed,another misjudgement. lt does look like HMG have taken the more expensive route.
