Thanks for that Jambo,as numerous people have indicated,we got caught on the wrong side of a trade,don't they go on!. Wrote it off on the glorious 17th of Nov,so it has been a real gamble from then on. Have moved on already but do wish all Carillion staff,subbies,suppliers and pensioners all the best for the future-it will work out.

just reported Carillion going into liquidation but Gov will finance salarie etc

Don't worry Fran,Bill corrected the post, in a polite way. I used capitals because i thought they were the key words,i apologies if your offended by capitals. On regular chat you meet all sorts,its something i'm afraid you'll have to live with. So its all come down to �300m,the �300m they were hoping to achieve from assets sales. If they get the cash then the plan's back on track and probably end up selling the assets quicker now that the idea of a fire sale is out of the way. At peak 30 plus per cent wanted the share price to fall and the press fuelled the selling,relentless negative stories from the past.The chance of selling at a good market price was zero and thats why they are asking for �300m.

Who would of thought the fate of the company was going to be decided by a bunch of politicians,no me back in July. Fule has pointed out Green has links and it always amazed me why on earth they paid �300m well over the odds for Eaga during the Cameron reign,that seemed very political to me supporting the 'Green deal' before it had gone through parliament. The question is are they still in favour?

Actually illbet i agree with you,without part 1 its all over if its going to stay a PLC. For parts 2 & 3 the equity has to have some value which implies Carillion will need to recover. What lengths our politicians go to working on a Sunday for the benefit of us pleb's,must be worth a knighthood for somebody!!

Well done Deadcat,5yr old kids get it but not adults. In apple terms to keep it really simple UK has 27 apples in a baskets and the EU countries have 31,one for each state plus Germany,France,Italy and spain have two apples. Lets call it a day,apples are worthless so EU states lose their one or two apples and we lose 27 apples-BRILLIANT!!
