Investors are hoping we get a JORC soon that shows a large increase in resources.

However the total number of Twitter rumours for this or any other stock that I have ever known be in any way accurate remains - zero.

There will be competition and the anti viral drugs will have balance of efficacy v safety which some might not be happy with.

The bar is not high folks. The converse of this news is that a very safe and very effective drug will do very well. Anyone know of one that might achieve that?

Today is 'Day of Unity' in Russia. Tomorrow is 'Bridge Day in lieu of January; so I guess they missed one in January. But yes whole of this week is national holidays in Russia. No idea if that would stop the ball rolling but if public services are involved then it probably will. EUA being UK listed has to remain complaint but they probably can't finalise any Russian official paperwork this week.

Initial RNS on the the Rosgeo JV (26th March 2020) refers to JORC in relation to those assets = not the existing assets of the company.

This is a punt but I think the due diligence is on assets outside of the JV and the JORC is just on the JV. So a sale of substantially all of the companies assets at the point at which this phrase was used did not refer to the JV IMO.

I think we will get an RNS for sale of everything outside the JV and a JORC that bolsters the value of the remaining company. EUA will continue to mine the JV.

Wild punting on my part and I probably have too much time on my hands this morning so more experienced punters can kick my ass down the plank - I'll hang my head in shame.

Does everyone agree that we think the JV is part of the asset sale? The Rosgeo JV was not around earlier this year and I have always wondered if the sale is substantially everything else and the JV is what will remain of EUA. I remember reading the RNS's and thinking it could be interpreted that way. Maybe I had too much grog.

Its a possible black swan event but it seems unlikely for big pharma to take the risk that the trial outcomes fall short - how would they price a takeover offer?

It is part of the excitement of being invested here though. A lot could happen very quickly.

How do you know this? I would be surprised if a potential buyer was prepared to rush this considering what is at stake. Do you know when the potential buyer is submitting that decision to it's BOD to ratify and submit that document to EUA?

It's OK to have an opinion and nobody has all of the answers (unless they are an insider and therefore not posting on this board) but you have to have context surely? If your only context is that you need to post negatively about EUA and it's prospects you could at least have some actual structure in your opinion?

How is it bad news Giant Steps? I would like to hear the logic. Having been involved in M&A work and having an understanding of the complexities of getting contracts agreed by all parties and having experience of due diligence my mind boggles at the complexity of getting these things done in this context. I can see no issue with the timescales other than recognising how wonderful it would be if it was all done by now.

Seems to me the announcement of due diligence being complete was very recent and that this was a significant milestone.

I think I'll wait. I understand that some would like to conclude this yesterday but waiting is easy and costs me nothing.

There you go. 225k bought in 3 transactions at about 1:45pm matching up the sells from the previous 30 mins. Maybe I'm looking for something that isn't there but it is very neat and tidy. Hardly any small trades.

Now you bring it up I did mention that last week and there seemed to be no obvious explanation. I guess there is one keen buyer who is confident to mop up all of the shares they can. It's actually less obvious this week. Doesn't look like your usual PI action but then one of the regular posters on here did say that they sold about 100k last week. They were snapped up pretty quick too.

Someone (at least one someone) with deep pockets does like the look of BRH at this price.....

Not that I can think of. I suppose if you wanted to buy in at a lower level and were waiting on funds to do that you could benefit from keeping the SP low until you had the funds. But how would that be done? There isn't any messaging from BRH right now that would drive the SP either way.

Do you think the SP is being suppressed? I'm not seeing that.

No it's all down to sentiment on the day. There was a lot of buzz on social media yesterday, not so much today. A lot of the investment in EUA this week is down to whether or not peeps believe the JORC and or sale will be RNS'd the next day. Nobody knows so expect this volatility until it happens.

When it comes to deal of this size no BOD is going to allow themselves to stop looking for other options until at least a binding offer is made. A binding offer will likely be notified by RNS. After that the BOD might want to make that the preferred option or might want to wait and allow another party to make another offer. It puts the BOD in a much stronger position at that point.

I can see a binding offer being made and the BOD wanting to progress is quickly IF it meets the strategic objective. There is unlikely to be much horseplay between the 2 parties as the price will have been subject to negotiation already. What we are looking for is an offer that the buying party BOD have satisfied meets compliance and they can demonstrate the amounts being offered are likely fair value for them and the shareholders on that side.

Anytime now or never is anyones guess but the likelihood of a deal concluding went up when EUA confirmed that the prospective buyer had confirmed they had completed due diligence. There is never a 100% certainty until all parties have signed the final sale contract.

A resource audit is material data which may drive a change to the valuation of the company. It will have to be revealed to the market via RNS.
