It looks to me like these two trades were reported later (16.53) than they actually took place. The transaction price of 225.70 was what the share price was trading at, at 15.32 when the share price suddenly and inexplicably dropped significantly. These two trades could well be sells rather than buys.

Very interesting development today. Alliance Bernstein have reduced their position to 0.09 per cent and Sandbar Asset Management have reduced their position by 0.14 per cent to 1.18 per cent. What a change of sentiment in less than four and a half days.

RattyRy, filter Joey86, his posts remind me of Vyvyan from The Young Ones. His posts are full of vitriol for anyone who dares to short sell a company but whose own portfolio has collapsed in value. You can be certain that if Joey86 asserts (Boooom!!) that a company share price will rise in value, it almost always falls within two weeks of the prediction.

Hello Ejackson, I hope you are well and your investments are positive. This is a very good trading statement despite difficult conditions. Huge credit to the board for managing to continue day to day business and producing a significant uplift in revenue and profit before tax. I have not reinvested since the sale of my shares in March but am planning to reinvest in anticipation of the Education sale. I wish Columbo and 1GW_ and you Ejackson all the best in the coming weeks and months.

Sandbar increased its short position again yesterday by 0.08 per cent, not much but shows their belief in which way they think the share price is going to move. They now hold 1.12 per cent and Alliance Bernstein 0.62 per cent.

TGrus, you really should look to do something else with your funds. Rolls Royce Motors is owned by BMW, a large German car maker. Rolls Royce Holdings PLC makes jet engines, submarines, nyclear reactors etc. The companies are entirely separate, sharing only a name.

Having said that, these two are no better or worse than the “350 pence by Sunday lunchtime“ brigade who also provide no basis to their predictions.
