UK already imports ~80% of its food, drink and ingredients in 2022. The farming battle was lost decades ago. Farming, like manufacturing, is a decaying industry.
Folks just want the cheapest possible food, in the fastest possible time, with lots of fat, salt and sugar to give them a high. It is why there are 1,300 McD emporiums on every street corner of the UK.
