Hope England win today, but it is highly unlikely. Like the men, Germany has an astonishing win record in women's football. Germany has won the Euro cup a record 8 times, and they have a 75-95% win record against England in all competitions. Football is not coming home (sadly).

Barclays is the world's biggest non-US investment bank, and Britain's last remaining major investment bank, and they seem to be taking more and more risk to keep pace with (much bigger) Goldman, JP Morgan, etc.

Looks like today is going to be the last of the big US Fed rate rises (0.75%).

The question, now, is when the US will start *cutting* rates. Some are saying US rate cuts could come as early as spring 2023, just 9-10 months from now...

Think it will be a 0.5% UK rise on Aug 4th. Bailey has been seeding the move in the press in the past week, prepping the markets for a change in policy. And with the Fed doing a big 0.75% rise tomorrow (Weds), the UK broadly always follows the US.

Time to stop the hysteria about ZHCs. Stop the middleclass sneering. Workers like them. Study after study shows ZHCs are popular for their flexible working. ZHCs were introduced by Labour.

Today's working lifestyle is better than at any time ever in history.
