An "avoid" today in the Times. The usual very shallow and uninformed write up in the Times, Ian Cowie is probably the only one providing decent copy on sunday - the daily market write up could have been written by a 3 year old.
Avoid is based on risk, surely at this share price this is built in with a greater upside potential than downside risk ?

Agree that SIS is a growth stock and is pursuing sales, but with the LTIP rewards purely based on this this gives no incentive to management and trashes the P&L. Surprise, surprise another 50% off everything sale - I expect they will do a total freebie on the Ineos or cyclingnews website soon so will give it a miss (at least they can count the P&P as revenue)
With the current share price investors are clearly voting with their feet, you must have lost a bit of cash yourself with your cult like following ?

I am a customer as they have great products. Never buy at anything above 50% discount through regular deals on wiggle, or the permanently and heavily discounted stock on sportspursuit.

The key issue here is that all of the power lies with the retailers, unless you are nestle, P&g etc.
Ridiculous comparison between distil and fevertree on this board in the past.

Clearly completely unable to manage fixed costs against gross margin, the whole point of a growth strategy in the medium / longer term. I am sure we will have the usual "from a Lancashire kitchen table....." comments shortly.

To be very frank trademarks are near the bottom of issues of distil.

Really need a catalyst here to get this moving. Still cannot understand the reason for the value of the cash call from last year, at least the bod have skin in the game.

Wondering what tomorrow will bring. Now back in the black with a fair value investment. Looking for another pound rise.

To be very frank it is refreshing that the BOD are not constantly ramping and over promising here, unlike so many other AIM listed companies. With this sort of company I would rather have a deep techie in incarcerated than a b@@@@@@t salesman or marketeer.
It is actually a sign confidence, and knowledge of their % shareholding allows them some leeway to perform in the long run.
My reliance is on what these guys have achieved before in previous companies, and the way the structure of the p&l allows for a very high return on sunk costs.
Looking forward to when the news comes, at least it will come with a high degree of security.

- although it may 'bounce back' the outlook is below the trading update.
- you have been saying for some time about small cap funds etc, this does not hold water.
- yes it does have a solid foundation but all the power seems to be with retailers who seem to dictate terms etc
- although it tastes great the packaging of Blackwood gin is so poor, doesn't stand out in a crowded market. I think they should discount on Amazon to get volume and to pay Amazon to ensure Blackwood comes up in searches for scottish or craft gin.

Interesting press on the management culture at M&G this morning. I thought this type of behaviour had essentially disappeared, if true shows a more of general issue around controls and standards

The packaging and branding are very poor compared to the craft gins in the market or even brands such as sipsmith, Brecon and Portobello. Prefer the old branding and stubby bottle.
My view is they should aggressively price to really shift volume, hopefully having customers use this as an everyday gin.

Thanks Oppa. Cannot see much downside below 370, and potential upside - and a great dividend. I think they are wrongly still considered an insurer, with pensions reform etc this is much more now
