Share price has not moved

Investor in MERC in my SIPP. Really surprised the share price at the moment. If you consider the asset management business pays for the admin costs of the company and the discount to NAV / cash balance this seems undervalued. Unsure of the catalyst that will lower the discount ???

Yeah. After the rights issue (a year ago?) I thought the deals were effectively lined up - the rights issue just supported customers who wanted to contract with a company with a strong balance sheet. Realise these deals have a long lead time, but I do not have knowledge that these are just taking longer, they are losing deals or customers are changing their mknd

This is probably the stupidest thing I have heard. This guy earns 4 m quid at median performance up to10 m a year at the top end. Do you honestly believe he would be interested or would be able to do this. Anyway he sets the strategy, he has minions doing the selling.

Really surprised on the lack of movement on the juniper announcement. Key here is that cns products are on the price book and have equal weighting from a sales commission I on perspective, you then have hundreds of reps in markets cns cannot touch.

I think you miss the point on the 500k. This is effectively the customer paying enet to port their solution to the customer solution, usually the supplier would do this at their cost. This is a great sign of confidence from the customer.

This has a market cap of 10m so apart from a small number of micro cap managers no this will not have fund managers taking positions

Still no responses. I am genuinely interested here as I do not know how these contracts work, it doesnt mean a great deal if there are stockists in Canada, France, Mongolia if they have a contract which is to buy as an when rather than say specific quantities over a specific time period.

By the way I am a fan and and have 400k shares. A conservatively well run company - a deeply impressive set of numbers (eg - hasnt given away margin, strong cash, well managed opex).

Under accounting rules you cannot take a gain for the "value" of a brand. The intangible asset is the cost of developing the brand, if you bought a company with a "brand value" this would be goodwill. Intangible assets are subject to regular valuation calculations to ensure they are correct.
The accounting reason being your argument - how do you get the £50m - discounted cash flow with underlyign assumption, what some "might" pay at sometime in the future? If it was worth £50m dont you think some bright spark would just buy the company ?
The brand value is the difference between the market cap and the underlying asset valuation. Even if you were allowed to value the brand at £50m it wouldnt make a blind bit of difference to the share price.
