In my JS they had the price reduced to 16.50. I always thought they had the right price point above Gordon’s / Bombay etc but below the more craft gins such as corunn. JS would have had price support I would assume from dis for this, interesting to see whether they are using this price just to get new customers who would stay out side the discounted price.

The share price fall is a reflection on the board and senior team, not the opportunity. As I have said previously you should have a vast majority of major sholders sounded out and on board before going public. I have small holding and now even at current prices, I'll sell when they go up a bit as I have no faith in the management team.

Well said, as an FD these results are deeply impressive - maintaining great KPIs across the P&L and balance sheet. So many AIM companies take too much risk in the sometimes misguided hope of growth. These guys obviously know what they are doing, clearly not panicking to make short term decisions.

Great commentary 1. Yes, the very preferable terms of the candy loan shows this was problematic then. 2. When doing this sought of takeover the management team have usually sounded out key investors beforehand to ensure the fundraising in in the bag. Really amateurish stuff here 3. This is a very positive stAtement of intent from miton. Even though the fund is a micro cap (I have a 6k holding in my sipp) distil will be one of the smallest companies they will have invested in. I have 5k holding in distil and will be a long term holder. What I really like is how well run the company is, no stupid cash calls / takeovers / marketing spend - just managing well with their means. Probably the most interesting element is how to value a brand. A brand like red leg is actually worth more to an established worldwide player with distribution relationships than it is to dis.

Followed miton for some time now : initially this was as I held some of their investment trusts in my sipp. Have bought and sold and kept the gain in shares, most recently 20k below 36p mid November a couple of months after a director buy in the 40s and with a nice dividend due. Believe 50p now looks the baseline going forward.

As and Emma fd in a software company you do not assess sales performance after 3 months, they should be judged on building strong pipeline with defined close plans. However they should have come into a company with existing pipeline.

The amazing thing is that the underlying assumption of the placing to get cash in was to support what everyone thought were deals just waiting to be signed. What has happened here, management actually need to provide a trading update

The key here is to manage the portfolio of profitable countries such as UK to fund developing markets. Should be able to replicate online at minimal cost without coming back to the market for more cash. As stated previously the ltip just doesn’t focus on long term performance.

The stupidity of this board in expecting evergreen to take over distilled is incredible.
