The way this share goes up and down on a daily basis is not logical, its like a sh###y little aim stock. Could anyone manipulate such a large cap share price?

I think it will take a few days / weeks for this to trickle out, a 10% gain seems low on this news. Agree seems to have a narrow but loyal following.
We could do with a write up in IC, a recommendation in money observer / shares magazine to make this fizz.

Any view on how the oil price impacts here ?

Agreed, a real board for grown ups with some knowledgeable contributions.
As this is so tightly held when this does take off it will be very interesting as I cannot see sellers even when they are sitting on some nice gains.

Just some background on Gartner. The relationship with gartner needs to very proactive with a lot of work and effort involved, it is not just sit back and wait.

I have a very small shareholding of 1,500 shares which is the profit from a buy and sell. I sold after the appalling manipulation of and the details of the ltip.
The share price is the reflection of management strategy and execution.

Agree. My criticism of the ltip is well known, with the current share price I expect a change to this to keep moon in the cash.
