Added this morning to take me to 185k shares. A move to c 27/28p would have me breakeven which would nice to have on the portfolio for year end, but not worried.
As with most on the board this is a long play for me, looking for to a nice steady drip, drip of positive news through 2021.

Giancotti, as you have said you are close to a senior level person, can you provide an update on the contract they had to fully provide for As we have no communication from the company after the "expect" from two months ago.
Good news here will get the share price moving.

Now four months from suspension with no news. An update to the owners of the company would be welcome.

The pro pen with this valuation is that it is an Amazon takeover, Amazon entering the market is a problem for the rest.

It is not rocket science but completely open to interpretation especially as it is the value to someone else. Not sure this would be taken seriously to have any impact on the share price.
Agreed what I think the company is worth is totally and completely irrelevant, it's the value the market puts on the company based on the share price.
As the company hasn't actually sold a brand it's pretty much an academic exercise anyway.

I am not sure this would achieve a lot, valuing intangible assets always subject to differing points of view. Blackwoods might have been valued highly a couple of years ago, I doubt it's worth much now.
Also the value of a brand might be worth far more to another company than dis, if they have a whole to fill in a portfolio but have brilliant worldwide distribution and retail contacts to exploit.

A proactive investor update in a few minutes, and investor presentations and backing packs for a nasdaq listing are two very different beasts. Having worked primarily for US companies and always in the tech sector I have listened to many quarterly results calls, many are not that great. I think if you stop focussing on the visual here and listen to what is being said.
I welcome the updates from soh even though he is careful on forward projections. I would rather this than some slick guy in a double breasted suit promising the earth.
I did listen to an investor presentation with a set of slides which was a much better forum.
Polished clarity will help the share price, key is short term p&l delivery but with the markets understanding of the opportunity - nasdaq understand s opportunity much better than uk markets.

I expect they have acquired this at a discount at nav. Looking at their website this is relatively immaterial in their overall portfolio, so hopefully a stable influence.

Always the overhang on this stock.

As a start you are looking at revenue / cash rather than profit for the entity - valuation would not be based on this element alone as it opens other doors elsewhere.
We need to wait for the next set of valuations to see whether they will uplift.
Whatever I still think we are at a ridiculous discount to nav.

Was looking to top slice profits after the last rise but held off, my 10k shares now a very long term hold to see what other gems unfold here. Th he biggest investment trust in my Sipp with the recent rise.

Interesting that merc (admittedly a different sector focus and a fund manager on the side) announced the start of dividends.

AIM is a UK market with little access to overseas investors, it will move with general UK confidence - hopefully a nasdaq listing will change this.
I am not sure what currency opti is trading in, or whether they have traded forward on currency. With bozo the clown and his hedge fund mates having already trashed sterling and looking to line their pockets with the next grubby couple of quid to the detriment of the country, sterling diving further might improve optis revenue.
I have some dividends in today, tomorrow these go straight to into opti.
Although completely against the diversification mantra these now make up 8% on my sipp, the only other share I have at this level is enet which had positive news today. Both are medium / long term holds and will reassess in 4 years when I reach 60. Although in different sectors both ip driven with a massive ability to scale the bottom line on top line growth.
Have massive faith in this company, very much under the radar.

As with you sitting at a slight loss but waiting for the update on 2020 early next year for a rerating of the stock. For me it is a longer term hold for 2-3 years anyway.
Agree with you next year will be grim lead by confidence caused by a sharp decline in house prices, opti will be impacted but to a much lesser extent than others.

as an aside Mr Raymond owns the king of Soho gin brand (which is one of my favorites) as a private company.
Always wondered w hether , as a key shareholder, he would look to merge and own a higher % of the public company.

Fully agreed on ltip, yes management should be rewarded but of all of the companies I own or have owned this ltip shows the worst excess I have seen. I was a holder, started to follow as a consumer but sold out as the ltip abuse was unacceptable.
Only issue I the rns was the use of ebitda, you need to read Warren Buffett s view here, but as cash is flat this is good.
As I have said on many occasions this can be a great company for shareholders (as well as a great British exporter and emplo yer) if the board have ltip s which are correctly focused.
As an aside I haven't got a clue how brexit (whichever total f##k up it becomes from bozo the clownand his travelling circus of a govn) impacts here.

I have been very critical in the past here especially on the ltip.
With the background of covid these numbers are impressive, especially the cash numbers.
I do think covid correctly focussed attention on profit and cash, rather than sales at any cost - I would be great to see this focus continue and be rewarded by the market.

I sincerely hope with enet being at / near the top of the risers board today we get people clicking through to look at the rns and then a deep dive on the company, including the great knowledge on this board.
I have noticed a few more contributors in the last month so we probably have about 10 regular commentators, all of which I see as holders until at least the end of 2021. All new contributors very welcome on one of the best, most civilised boards.
