I like the way the business can grow with a portfolio of profitable revenue streams, and loss making products.

Amazing that investors rely so much on ST in the IC without question - price rise when they cannot have done any further research, incredible market influence this guy has, much of it unwarranted.

Tracy - hope you don't mind me asking - what is your holding and the three others holding ? Assume it makes up a fair % of your investments now.
As with you I invested from the history of david, with smaller companies this is the only real element to make the final investment decision especially as this is a fair chunk of my sipp / isa and goes against all diversification principles. The only other share I have at this level is OPTI, which although in a different sector is based on a similar model (intellectual property, international market, little UK economic exposure, low operating costs and very highly leveraged profitability on increased sales, experienced management team who are not ramping Salesguys and have real skin in the game).
I know he did receive some criticism on this board as he is not the greatest presenter, but the customers you are selling to are deep techies and are not impressed by an Armani suit.

firstly Many thanks for your company and sensible commentary this year. As I said up to 200k shares now at an average 7.5, have been through the ups and downs with this stock over about 3 years. 9-10p looks the low with so much upside, will hold for at least a further year.

Looking back I think the game changer was the juniper tie up, I still believe they will buy out in excess of 20p.

Just thinking back to the price drop on I think tuesday, maybe why the rns was released. Software order s notoriously backended so hopefully a strong December - even without this earlier orders in the year / quarter the greater the revenue recognised in the current year. A strong December will take this to 13-15p.

It the new orders vs renewals. They count renewals ( with incremental impact) as orders.
Only other concern is getting the good news out early, hope this doesn't mean a poor December.

They must have been talking for 2 months prior, so 6 months in total.
To be frank - what the f*** are they talking about ?

Pleasantly and really surprised by this rns, really thought they would wait for the full quarter to play out and shows real confidence in their business.
As usual there is a real requirement to split out renewals to new business to understand revenue impacts.
Hopefully back above 10p with this in the next couple of days, and upwards with a good q4 total update.

As a relative new comer you seem to have already built up a decent shareholding, and are already well in profit.
Are you in here for the long term (2-3 years even if this hits a quid early / mid next hear) or just seeing how this plays out over the next 6-12 months?

This does show where the company is going, just imagine the contacts and commercial sector knowledge this guy has.
As I have said before, this is a one of a couple of individual shares where I am considerably invested for the long term (at least 3 years going forward), although you can make money trading this share I think it will reward a long term hold.

I am not being unduly negative, just ensuring a balanced view here with both the positives and negatives (with all of the red flags in the accounts and controls).
Sincerely hope these goes well, not just as an investor as this really is the type of company (ip lead, world leading) we need in the uk.
I hope the risk is built into the share price.

True, like most stock pickers they forget the bad calls and remind everyone of the great ones! I am not an IC subscriber but i am sure he was talking this to mid thirties in the last year / 18 months, he doesn't have a great record with kromek despite having incredible access to the management team - admittedly the telegraph has also talked this up in the past.
All I have been posting here is for investors to do their own detailed research here and to weigh up the great upside potential with further downside risk that some may discount, we have no rns or communication to shareholders of any change to the last accounting point which I assume they would have to notify as it is so material . It's not necessarily a one way ticket.
Key is results and the new Cfo - look forward to these and hope they provide the numbers to take the share price to new heights in both short / medium term but also over 5 years.

Have held for sometime now, it is one of a few risk holdings of smaller shares I hold as part of a sipp that is primarily invested in a wide range of circa 25 investment trusts, so it is not a proportionally large holding. As I am 5 years off retiring there is plenty of time for this to come good even on short term problems.

The reason I write here is to make sure investors are aware of the issues here rather than take the rns and YouTube videos in a one sided manner. St in the ic has been a a strong supporter but must be embarrassed by the faith he has put in the board and his support of rights issues.
I am a qualified accountant working as an emea fd in the tech sector, reading successive interim and full year accounts (admittedly with hindsight on where they are) is worrying, it also shows the very high level of risk the company was prepared to take and how they structure contracts poorly from a working capital perspective.

As I have said in the past of they can get through issues and get control going forward this will go up very quickly, I hope this happens as I am a longer term shareholder here rather than wait to take a quick 10% profit of it hits 22p. I'll wait for the next reporting to see where they are.

Finally added 20k yesterday to take me to a nice round 200k. Looking forward to the q 4 update early jan - hopefully continuing q 3.
As you say seems a pity this gets a lift once a quarter and then drifts down, but does create a buying opportunity.
Would be nice to see a write up somewhere.

Yes - with these other results I would have expected very long discussions with auditors as these issues have been here sometime.
At the moment with the information we (dont) have it is difficult if not impossible to value the company due to the value numbers involved vs market cap.
This ranges from a confirmation the contract is cancelled and the provision will not be reversed and there are issues with others contracts due to systemic poor commercial and financial control, to everything is back on track to scenarios in between.
The worst case effectively sacks the board, deeply discounted cash raise or firesale. Best case takes this back into the 20s. I don't know levels of probability here, and don't believe any P I without insider knowledge does - hence my question to gaincotti.
As I have said previously I hope contracts are back on track and the share price represents value for new and older shareholders. Until we have this there is risk that this is a complete dud.

Interesting that these two rns appear on the same day.
Two and a half months to produce interim accounts, without a trading update, is deeply worrying. Hope my gut feel is wrong but I don't think these will be positive on profit and cash with issues ongoing.

Is am sticking as the undoing of the provision should take this back up, if this doesn't happen the senior management team will have zero credibility. Agree this would be a great takeover for the acquirer to put in a hard nosed management team.
Until we wait the cfo buying stock would be a stamp of approval.
