It is noticeable that the share price fell, from the full year results update on 1st May with no provision of indication of a provision and the final accounts with the provision in october, quite dramatically on no news - or news just leaking out to selective investors.
On a day of gains across the portfolio this one is still fumbling around. Clearing no movement On the issues behind the provision, what else is the new cfo finding ?

Sincerely hope I am wrong as this can be a great British export success story, from the share price the market seems to agree.
Just be reminded we have a backlog of contract revenue and obligations under the prior cfo and "in house general counsel".
Until we have the next set of accounts under the new cfo I can't see the share price moving greatly, if we do with no further issues and an unwinding of the provision hopefully this should fly. The new non exec shareholding does provide some confidence here.
Good luck to all long term holders and those who supported the share offers, hoping we have positive news in 2021 and beyond. All new holders I think you may have bought at a great time.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, ic about a year ago when the price was mid twenties was looking at a short term rise to mid thirties. They do not have a great track record here.
What I want to see is 1) an rns confirming the contract is back on track and CASH has been received 2) the new cfo giving a clean bill of health to the balance sheet. Until then the current share price is unfortunately about right.

1. Where do you get the 40% from, this is valued at net assets (which include considerable intangibles which may be subject to review by the new cfo)
2. Agreed this is undervalued if they sort out the contract issues
3. Valuing a company built on intellectual property based on assets shows how badly the share price is performing

The % discount doesn't seem to have materially narrowed, despite 1. Substantial asset now seen as a "cash equlivalent" 2. The investment model and management team showing they are picking winners 3. What has been shown to be prudent valuations of investments

Scooby - although investment trusts are within the scope of UK Corp tax, in general they do not pay Corp tax on capital gains if eligibility criteria are met.
As the company is focused on capital growth I believe they would have structured the company in such a way to be considered that Corp tax is not paid.

This is a massive amount of cash. Just wondering whether they have further investments lined up, otherwise a share but back (even a small one) would have a positive impact on share prise.
Hopefully a write up in investors chronicle, ii 23rd will get some new shareholders on board.

Wisha. Convinced me to hold on, was worked that this is now the second largest holding in my sipp and don't usually like too much concentration.

As a longer term holder expected small incremental increases rather than this, incredible. I added to my holding earlier this year, the price was just too good to resist.
Question. As well as the nav increase - I would hope this would radically reduce the discount 1) it shows the portfolio is prudently valued 2) it shows the value within the portfolio.
Initially thought to sell down some of my holding, but will hold on.

As a shareholder the company needs to show they have the commercial and financial nous to manage theses contracts. If they can align this with science this will be a great investment at this price.
Still worried, when a new cfo comes in he likes to be a prudent as possible - pointing the finger at the previous regime. With no update on the contract impairment forthcoming, also look out for treatment of intangibles.

Yes this has been a disaster of a share over one \ two years.
Outside the quarterly reporting / decent rns it is not worth worrying over the day to day ups and downs (mainly downs!) - just comment on the big stuff not the daily 1-2% up / down.
I have taken a paper loss on this and am wondering whether to cut my losses as I cannot see what is going to take this back into the 120-140 range unless it floats up with a general market (ftse 100).

Without the possibility of a sale in the background, what needs to happen for this to go up to 3 or 4 quid.
Despite good revenue numbers this has just drifted around for a number of years - the only catalysts I see are further major purchase by candy or the new Singapore investors, a write up by someone like Simon thompson, or a completely new investor such as n investment trust building a stake.

This looks like a completely new business segment and hopefully an avenue for new revenue streams.
Hope the new cfo has done a credit check and signed a contract with decent payment milestones which doesn't tie up working capital

I think the lack of daily trades might save the share price next week (I know this is not a short term share), for those with a high risk profile I expect a great time to buy selective shares to be put away for the long term.
Haven't any spare cash in my sipp, but if this does fall to 14/15 i will sell elsewhere to top up.

Sch note on the average price paid by one director might mean they are asking too much per share.

Really surprised where the price is at the moment, as with a lot of the smaller companies I follow which appear to have great potential virtually zero interest at present.
As I said a week or two ago would have taken 4 quid here, which from insiders on the board was on offer.

I don't think it did anything really.
- Business performing well which should up the price
- Lack of detail on the "potential" takeover. A little surprising as it has been three months and I would assume they were talking one of two months before that, so 4-5 months
