I think your last comment pretty much sums it up. They customer list is impressive and if bird want to be a serious player in the game then they need these names on board and they've had to do something to get their foot in the door. That seems to be working well but less financially beneficial than I would of thought. Now the closed period is over I'd be interested to see if IM adds to his holding. Possibly after the presentation.

I would like to see Bird getting some counsel on board as I'm sure their IP will be tested the way cloud technology develops and the way this field is going .Its a jolly expensive business especially in the USA for small UK company with only a few million in the bank.

Very Valid Points PokerChips and I would agree. There were some impressive customers wins in the period but not of great value it seems. There is no real transparency in the land/expand strategy and of course they don't have to give it. I get all the potential etc, RD etc, etc. etc but they are a high margin software company that bearing in mind what we know and customers etc doesn't seem to be turning over enough and losing to much. That's why I'm really looking for some flesh on the bones in the presentation.

I agree Chelsea that we are at a buying opportunity and I'm close to parting with a few hard earned pennies. My views on the driver shortage are well known so no point in repeating but there will be some effect on T/O either directly or indirectly.
The financial year end was 3/7/21 but most of the negativity in logistics was after that in the holiday period so I expect the year end figures to be good as they have hinted at. It's the updates that will give us an idea as to how the story is unfolding.

Whilst Bird has undoubted potential it's seems to me that it is so easy to fall in love with the company, it's technology and its potential to the exclusion of everything else. Everyone got excited by the frame.io deal with Adobe and the silly talk of bird being worth pie in sky figures. The harsh truth is though that despite the impressive customers wins in the period the financials are disappointing and we are losing more money. I look forward to the presentation with the hope of some real detail and clarity in the financial aspects of the business model.

I think the market reaction is perfectly understandable. When you strip out the positive spin and excitement about the technology it is a high margin software company that is increasingly losing money. Whats next if this continues..... fundraise. ??
The SP has been swept away on a sea of sentiment but there has to be a dose of financial reality.

Very disappointing for me. Nothing to justify the current market cap. Despite continuing to talk a good game and impressive contract growth this is not reflected in the financials which is just about modest growth considering how bullish they are.
I wonder how the markets will react. I think we will see a pull back. Jam tomorrow I am beginning to think.

I agree with PensionPot. I for one would be disappointed if there is no maiden profit announced for H1. With the current market cap I actually think the markets are expecting one and I think we will see a pull back if there isn't. We have a small team, a 90+% margin, no debt I presume continues... so really there must be something wrong if we are not profitable with all the business announcements. Are we not charging enough?Are directors taking out to much ?

If we have potentially the market leading product protected by IP, an impressive list of customers there should be a queue outside our front door and we should be profitable.

Thats True Golf. Every logistics company of note is reporting a shortage of delivery drivers so it really doesn't matter if its a HGV or Multi Drop. There are shortages everywhere. Our local Hermes/Yodel low cost delivery driver who delivers has about a 100 deliveries a day told me last week that they have so many vacancies and can't don't enough people applying.

I'm not sure that really matters. DX have vacancies throughout the commercial driver range. It's not only going to affect DX but also the companies that use DX if they are also suffering supply chain problems. It will mean there are less goods to supply and there is already talk of substantial stock shortages at Christmas. The plus is that will lead to inflationary pressures, and increased margins. I think it will be a double edged sword for DX. Only an update on the first quarter of this financial year at results time will tell us if they are experiencing any effect. If they are not suffering any material effects I think it will a very, very good sign.

DPD have introduced surcharges on parcel deliveries because of driver shortages. Its in the news that there are 100K plus HGV driver vacancies and DX have over 100 driver vacancies. It seems to be affecting supply chains everywhere. It would be surprising if this doesn't affect DX moving forward.

Thanks Monty and FBT. The Rise through Late April/early May was caused by the IM director purchases and the USA TV stations RNS. Thereafter the announcements of new customers and good ones at that have pretty much done very little to the SP. That suggests that the markets are also waiting for some financial detail and believe we are fully or overvalued at the moment. I don't doubt the directors or the tech and we should know more in a few weeks.

The only point I am making is that bird have a mcap of about 110m and that can't be justified with an impressive list of customers and some IP. !. It has to be about the money at some point.

Seems the markets are pretty" Laisez faire" on todays announcement. For a 100m valuation there are hardly any financial updates and still nothing to justify that valuation and the markets obviously feel the same. Bird ..... "show us the money"

JH2704... Yes as an ADR but that is different to a regular stock listing which is solely for USA companies. I think different rules apply.

DX still doing what they say they are going do. The well known supply chain problems contributed to by a generally accepted shortage of HGV divers does't seem to be affecting DX and the opening of three depots pretty much at the same time is quite an achievement in this economic situation. It would seem that DX foresaw the driver shortage and had plans for it.Looking forward to September results.

I thought the VOX piece was very similar to the PIworld piece last year. Both mentioned L. Gunn enthusiasm and target price of £1. Let's hope they get there.

Although in my opinion the move to the NASDAQ I think is a good move... there is the possibility they may not be accepted. I don't invest on the NASDAq but there are rules about the criteria for listing and After a quick scan of the info I can find I'm not to sure if they meet certain criteria. Perhaps better brains than mine or people with NASDAQ experience could comment. ?

So the move from the Aim to the Main market lasts about 7 Months. Tils look to have completely changed strategy as the move to the main market simply didn't work. The rationale given at the time of the move to the main market was to pursue it's strategy as an international company. It's seems that the focus now is predominantly the in Americas. I for one think it's a good move.

There is only one reason to invest. Invest now with the intention of getting more back in 6 Hours,6 Weeks. 6 Months or 6 Years etc. Just because things are a bit up in the air with the products at the moment doesn't mean that is not going to happen. If they do twist the facts and possibly lack integrity as you imply that doesn't mean there is not money to be made. That's really just the point I'm making.
