I agree Pokerchips. It's good that IM and Premier took part in the placing but the USA is where it's at. It is Birds largest market by some distance and that will always be the case. The OTCQX has really done nothing for bird of any note, it doesn't for British companies... it did nothing for Shield Thera and a few others. If the end game is a sale they really need to be making a much bigger splash over there. The only other consideration is some for of domiciling as it's well known that American Investors really only favour American Stocks but I don't think that is in Birds thinking.

Good news and long overdue. The land and expand strategy has got them to this point but if they are to scale the business money has to come from somewhere and if they are not generating the profits the money has to come from a placing. The discount is fine. Let’s hope they use it wisely including expanding the team as there is a over reliance on SS.

Ports. I'd be surprised if DX agree to the Managing Partner of Gatemore being given a place on the board. All the institutional Investors could in effect make the same request if they wanted as their holdings are more than most of the board directors apart from Lloyd. I wouldn't of thought that Gatemore would be given preferential treatment and the other II's wouldn't be happy if they were.

There would have be some form of compromise generally as I don't think they can totally rebuff a holder who owns 20% of the company. The picture should become clearer by the AGM later this month.

If they had sold before the RNS that would be a different story

There was no insider knowledge. The RNS was released. Everyone new.The price dropped... people bought including the directors.

Take your point but I don’t think for one minute it was an engineered situation. Lloyd is already a very wealthy man owning 10% of the company. Investing a £100k or so last week is pretty negligible. All he did was take advantage of a situation that presented itself as could anyone else of course. However you are right that the Directors have not acted as they should regarding the transparency over the governance and accounts issues. Welcome to the AIM.

Agreed Ports. Once you have a breakdown between the institutional Investors and the directors they has to be substantial change. It looks like the Institutional investors were as surprised as we were as the events unfolded last week. DX had a lot of help from Gatemore at the outset of the turnaround in fundraising and director appointments in 2017 so I'm not surprised they are this upset. It's a real kick in the teeth.

I should Imagine Lloyds pretty happy with Gatemore interference... his gains after his share purchase on Thursday stand at just over 30K. Its a hard life.!!!

Makes you wonder what the DX Non Execs have been up to. It's their job to keep an eye on things and hold the management to account.
Two of them are past the legal requirement age, maybe we'll see some changes. !

I also fully agree it’s the footflow. The reasons given are perfectly plausible. My wife and all her friends have been focussing on buying on presents fearing shortages. Like the intended change to Uk manufacturers to reduce lead times. It will be interesting to see how this affects profitability as it plays out.

We’ll if you are an authority in insider trading and Lloyd is obviously guilty as you say then I am sure it will all over the financials news in due course. I take a different view.

Fire blade. Do you know the turnaround that Lloyd has achieved in the last three years. Are you fully update with the turnaround strategy, growth strategy and financial history. If you are then your post makes not the slightest sense. If you are a shareholder you have put your faith in Lloyd, it makes no sense to talk about him as you do.

Fireblade. There is no insider trading in my opinion. Its a mess but Dx have nothing to do with dropping the SP. The markets decide and the market makers make a market based on supply and demand. Lloyd is an astute businessman and who can blame him for taking advantage of a situation to his benefit. Wouldn't we all.

Time to keep calm. It seems then that Grant Thornton picked up on some financial regularities which eventually were resolved for them to produce the figures. But the audit commitee still have concerns. Suspension of shares is not a bad thing whilst it is sorted out but never the less it is not good news. Fundamentals are still there as someone said and it’s a short term problem. A major problem for the CFO though.

I think it's an unbelievable buy at this price. It's not far off sat on cash that equates to its market cap but its not the darling of the markets. What will they do with their cash pile.... share buyback perhaps, acquisitions... I can't believe someone is not eyeing it up.

Fair point. It seems that worldwide sentiment is pulling everything down at the moment and there seems to be alot of market uncertainty. Covid, China. Russia/Ukraine, Brexit. Negative influences on the markets everywhere and the good point Jamie made is that there aren't alot of buyers floating around and people are sitting on their hands on the sidelines. Lets hope DX provide some positive info at the AGM on Thursday and we get a bit of a Santa Rally on the SP in December.

A multibagger in how long.? Jamie in my opinion is just spouting platitudes. ?. It's so easy to say... on what basis ?. Dx is nothing like as big or profitable as Wincanton, Clipper or anyone else of note in the game.
He says Dx can pass on its costs.... Yes in freight but no chance in any other aspects of its business as it's far too competitive. They are working on a target margin of 7.5 to 10%.

Blatant ramping and banging on about how good the management is. As port swigger said It means nothing if DX aren't winning the big contracts to take them to the next level. Growth will take at least 3/5 years to get to multi bagging levels in my opinion.
His opinion is fair enough fair but back in the real world times are tough. !
It's not a criticism of Jamie but sweeping generalisations help no-one.

Nothing like the markets to focus on the negatives. They seem to be getting their house in order so the future looks good.
