So that's all three main LC vessels accounted for and working away. I did see scaffolding up around the Puffin last time I was down by the yard and the Valonia seems to have also been laid up for quite a while now. Not sure if that is down to lack of pilots with two new LC's busy working. Or it just does not have the capacity that the LC's have. The Puffin was only ever a littlle port tender up at Appledore anyway. Sure the Val could have taken a few passengers over to Scilly. :)

BT, re: 23:29. WTF does it have to do with you, or anyone else, what the OP did or didn't win or lose on any other share. The post was about some unfortunate timing at best or maybe a little unresearched risk/reward exposure given the surrounding circumstances. One thing milking it in calling it right, as regards the company, but no need to mock those that didn't. Nothing constructive or nice to say? Maybe resist the urge and say nothing.

Lottie, you have been here long enough for me to be sure that your intentions are good and have always been up front with who your are. More so recently with the self outing for election. But I'm still reticent, to say the least. Here I can, and do, apply the filter and cut out any BS or extreme opinions. I've seen these type of inclusive groups set up before and they don't always end up as originally intended. People being banished for opinions that align with the mods. etc. Don't do any of the social media, FB etc. So not sure I want to included or more so, accessible, to some of these nutters via some whatsap group. Not saying you are wrong, but technically Harland & Wolff is headquartered in London. It just have sites in Belfast, Appledore, Arnish and Methil. So 50% of the yards are in Scotland. :)

oh, and offices in Aberdeen, Miami and the Isles of Scilly. lol

Fwiw, I've said similar in the past, Citizen. They signed a "Teaming Agreement" MoU with Navantia even before they finalised the H&W purchase.

"Subject to completion of the acquisition of the assets of Harland and Wolff, as announced on 01 October 2019 and further on 11 November 2019, the MoU envisages utilising the assets of Harland and Wolff for the purposes of providing a range of services to Navantia. "

One such services would include, but not limited too :- getting some gov. contracts, then buying everything in sight, "starting" many projects, taking on huge amounts of crippling debt so as to bring on an eventual sale on the cheep. :)

Union meeting tomorrow will be interesting. If they try and firm the recent pay deal they might get told take a hike. Good luck with getting backdated to January as well. And would they dare threaten to take industrial action if by doing so could tip the whole thing into the abyss. Also, a lot of them are also shareholders. What a mess…..

I would look to other companies that this new temporary CEO has “rescued “ to see how shareholders got on. Just face it, we were led up the garden path by a known offender and fleeced. Some willingly, some blinkered and some ignorant or just plain daft. The warning signs have been there for years. I stopped trying to point them out and just got on and made a bit here and there. But admit I got it wrong on the final roll of the dice. Was out and free but chanced my arm one time too many. Such is investing. Gl

Riverstone may not want their money back straight away. They might want to keep milking this cash cow as they have been doing for years. There has been good money in it for them.
