The share price "was" at the skinny end at that point in time. We moved on. Got passed it. And peoples trading habits dictated in which direction it went next. The chart is just a representation of what happened. Obviously the timeline is pushing forward, growing day after day. The sp is rising and falling, dictated by peoples trading habits which in turn are affected by other factors that drive sentiment, news... tweets... expectations... the wider economy.... side of bed you got out of this morning...
This is the same chart I load up every day. https://invst.ly/14e-ku
The same chart I've posted here a few times. By period, it's normaly kept as a day chart. Although I can adjust that to a shorter period if I want to see what is happening in a shorter time frame. I may have used that a few times, just for more detail. What I can't do, is I can't go back and change what has happened. I can't move those peaks and troughs. And it's still the same line. It still has the same begining, that has not moved. All I can extened it forward to keep pace with the passage of time. It's still hitting those same high spots. Just that there are a few more of them over time that just so happen to be on the same line. It's like magic. :) Fwiw, I've temporarily put that little red triangle back in that was formed by that rising blue trend line from November 22. It was a weak trend, tbh, and consequently it was seen to fail. We moved on. The sp then took the direction it chose.
For now, the main upper trend line stays in place until such time that I feel it is no longer in play. To me, it still seems to be relevant. My chart, my rules. Time moves on, the sp moves up and down a bit more, news comes and goes, people buy in, sell out. It's just that some of us make descisions based on how they all interact. Simple as that.
Beautiful really. Hugs all round. ;)
Is a lemmon a cross between a lemming and a lemon?
If people want to chat about TA and the like and you are not interested can't you just ignore them? Why do you always have to go and make it personal with the name calling? Especially as you don't beleive it makes a difference and is all bollux anyway. Just skip over it and let people do their own thing.
Wish I had a £1 for every time someone said we will never see such and such price again. ;)
It's done better than I expected today, well done all. Looks like the 50k trader is back. So, expecting similar rises and falls to last time they were on the scene. Always ending up close to evens on the buy sell ratio by the end of the day.
Had to go into town so i've been for a quick nosey down around Appledore this afternoon. Must admit not a hive of activity in the areas open to public viewing. Must all be going on undercover. Did spot some red boiler-suited individuals where I wouldn't have expected to. Took some pics and going to analyse them later for anything worthy of passing on.
Yeah, just caught up on the Air and Sea Links FB page. Seems strange to change it from being under the Spanish flag to this new one, just for delivery purposes. On the scrutiny video Woodie said, "it just had a certification from BV issued".
Assume that would be Bureau Veritas, the classification society. He also said it would arrive early enough to do berthing trials and pilot exemption certificates. There was also something about going up to Southampton for the "PC". That may well be the "pilot exemption certificates". Maybe ask your chums over on FB if they are one and the same. Guess if they need to get all that in before the begining of May it could be leaving Spain quite soon.
Link to BV, fwiw.

That must have been changed this morning, but why is it registered under the flag of Tuvalu?
"Formerly known as the Ellice Islands, an island country in the Polynesian subregion of Oceania in the Pacific Ocean, about midway between Hawaii and Australia." Are they twinned with the Scilly Isles? :)
Well, at least it's got a small union jack on it.
Agree. Right now mine is saying, "nothing to see here so get up and get out into the workshop".
Personally, I never like to do anything in the first hour of trading, if I don't have to. Will until it settles and finds it direction of travel. Buy price looks to be hanging around 12.39p so I'm going to sit it out for now. Not quite the stampede that was predicted. Plenty of time to regret later, if staying out is the right thing to do or not. :)
GL, the call of the shed is too much to ignore any longer. :)
That was my take on it also. That SOWEC are just the conduit to public funds through Government Agencies, investors and I guess for the main, the actual offshore wind developers themselves.
The original article was littered with the usual forward looking statements of "aims, hopes and expects" so we will see how they get on. When is the next stage progression going to b e announced?
One of a few added today, Stokey.
Full list here.

I say full list, as although it still includes the jobs in the Scilly Isles and Florida, as well as the usual sites they seemed to have pulled the ones that were there, but advertised for Southampton.
Oopsie, did I speak out of turn. lol
Sweeping up some of the crumbs, but not all of them. ;)
Yes, but was thinking more in the context of the subject matter, namely building ships.
"Capacity and export
With the new shipbuilding hall coming online, outsourcing of steelwork construction should not be needed again on a large scale, unless there are orders for additional vessels from another navy. If greater additional capacity is needed then more work could be given to Ferguson or a more formal partnership formed with Cammell Laird."

I would imagine George Allison would include China before mentioning H&W. :)
Can we establish what is meant by capacity please. To my mind capacity would be that of the yards themselves. Available dry dock space, fabrication halls, workshops etc. Places and space that are free to build "stuff". Factoring in the current expansion of the fabrication hall in Belfast, to a certain degree that space is kind of finite, without a lot more capex.
Nothing to do with staffing levels, imo. As without the space to build it wouldn't matter how many staff you had. It's not as if they can work from home. ;) Also, apprenticeses take three years to get their basic qualifications before they are let loose.
