According to the guy that runs the Scilly FB page, who does seem to know about this kind of thing, " She could do the trip on a single tank of fuel @12 knots in 8 days - but that is dependant on weather and crew... they are probably going non-stop to destination as long as they have enough food… they will only be burning 200 litres an hour @ 12 knots and she holds 14m3 of fuel…. So would expect to see her in a south coast port before end of month if all goes to plan"

Located that blue building on street view to narrow it down. :)
Yes. Going by the pictures posted on FB she moored up opposite "The Boat Shed" in Penzance. Not sure why all the secrecy at keeping the transponder off and then they go and post pics? Bit of cat and mouse going on with the Steamship Co. I guess. Previously called the Jenna and before that the Arromanches. Lots of pics of her as she was previously on the vessels tracking sites. Even some of her on a Normandy beach.

Just watched the past track since it left port. Sped up, stopped a few times, did some manouvers and accelerated off again. If it starts doing doughnuts then it's porbably been knicked by joyriders. :) If the secrecy they employed to get the Samson from port to port is used then they might not be providing a destination just yet. At least they have the transponder on so it can be tracked as it progresses along its journey. Seems a bit far out from port to be just sea trials.
Yeah, I did see a flooring guy make a comment somewhere about see you Monday. Think it may be just moving to the SRQ for now but may be off on one of it's trips over the border like before. One of the tug in the dock with her now. Not sure if it's a factor but noticed that high tide not till later this evening. Enjoy the game. Can I assume rugby? Maybe stokey will be doing a round-up of all the results later. Be a bit like checking the pools back in the day. :)
Going by the current tug activity around the Belfast dry dock gates it looks like she is on her way out to the SRQ.
The Coralwater, the chemical tanker that has been in and out a few times during her stay is currently out at the anchorage. A quick top up before the off?
I was scrutinising the picture last night that I posted from LSE's Francisco Porras's link. It really is an excelent job, and more impressed if it was done by H&W crew themselves. Not the sort of thing that they would get to do in their normal day to day work I'd imagine. I'd always assumed that they would have to get specialist in for this part of the job. I was looking to see if it was stencil work or freehand. Might be a bit of both, was my conclusion. Anyway, well done indeed.
Would have loved to have seen the live streaming.

Too many Terramares for one day. :)
Just posted pics of Samson on FB

"You need a bigger vessel you say", coming to a port near you, welcome to the newest addition to the H&WMS fleet, this landing craft is 34m long, 8.5m wide and carries over 100ton of deck cargo!, she also has a 100tm crane up front capable of lifting 17t or 3t @20m reach💪, also a additional 15tm crane further aft, two Thistle Capstans, spuds legs front and rear, a huge clear deck space and the ability to transfer fresh water and fuel, she has recently undergone a full refit into her H&W livery with some other additions, utilizing a in house British ship yard at Appledore in North Devon🛳, a big thank you to the fantastic skilled team in getting her ready, today she made her trip from Appledore to Penzance on this glorious day😎, she has a few bits to finish her off, then she is ready for her to go to work, any questions please feel to get in touch or visit the website.
Stokey is on first name terms with JW so I wouldn't get away with it, LSE. Also, being a known trouble maker, there may already be photo fits of him in the guard house and tbh, Bubbles is probably too well know from staring in the Trailer Park Boys. So I went with my best salty sea dog disguise just to blend in. Did have it confirmed that it was indeed the Samson that was there. Must be sailing under it's previous name as I can't imagine they could sail in stealth mode with the tracker turned off. Just had a quick look around the area on Marrine Traffic but nothing that fits the bill. Another tug named the Obervargh over at Hugh Town on Scilly but no LC's to be seen. Maybe one of those live streaming twitcher cams might be the answer. I'll pop in and see Q after debriefing. :)
What survey vessel K? Not jw's brothers boat surely? :)
Would have thought the AW would be classed as a passenger vessel not freight.
Fwiw, the Terramere as pulled alongside exactly where I reported the "could be" Samson was earlier in the week. Have they come to tow it back down to Penzance or brought crew up to do so? Might have to nip down for a nosey. :)
Sure he said the AW was being painted in Spain before being brought over. ??

The Samson, pics shown on the scrutiny committee video as well as a newly aquired Crew Transfer Vessel that was also mentioned on video. As yet, whereabouts unknown.
Not sure about the Lundy Puffin though.
Has been confirmed, by herself, on a number of occasions, FT. Originally thought, like others did/do, that she was Lisa D from NGC using another account once hers went quiet. Timelines kind of matched. Maybe for reasons of safety and so not revealing her true identity. As there are some wierd stalky types that frequent these boards I guess you can't be too careful. Main reason I stayed quite in openly expressing that thought when a lot of new posters arrived after the FSS. Up to the individual if they want to keep their identity to themselves and not for others share if they don't want it known.
