RE: RNS30 Oct 2020 13:41
Personaly, I think 7am RNS's make in fairer for all. What about those that work away from a desk or access to a PC.
Normally, I'ld be out of the door and on site for 9am or earlier. That little window of the market opening and leaving for work would be the only time I would have to react to a pre market RNS.
If a decision had to be made on favourable news, to either top up an existing stock or buy into something you'd had on your watchlist or conversely, sell out or reduce due on an unforseen bad RNS, then if it came during the day I wouldn't be able to make that choice. I'ld come home and find myself either at a loss or miffed that I'ld missed an oppertunity.
I don't really care what day traders, shorters or flippers etc. are doing. That's their business. Takes all sorts to make a market. I'ld even be okay with an after hours RNS, as that gives you even more time to plan for the next market opening.
The only downside to this is I'ld have to trade in the first half hour of opening, which we all know is not the best time to be making a rushed decision.
Luckily, I've been in here since before the merger and am now mostly all in here, so doing very well. :) So I am not bothered or worried regarding this share and can go about my day quite content. It's only other shares I have an interest in that I'm talking about.
Anyhoo, enough rambling and back out to the workshop in complete contentment.
Just my two pence worth on the matter.
