Yeah, BWM, this years. As NST says, didn't have one before. Had way to many investents for any one to be a CGT issue.
But lived in hope. :) Since selling up everything else and going all-in, back in October, it's been clear that it might become one. Best decision I ever made.
Was more worried about being out of the market should some divi RNS drop as I thought it was a far more long winded process. How wrong I was.
Anyhoo, looking forward to adding the other 1/3 ish after this tax year.
If we get some good news before then I might have even more than next years allowance in my normal account.

Very quickly. I opened up the new ISA through my normal account, selected the B&I link and put in how much and which stock and very soon after had a text message saying it had gone through. Ten mins max from start to finish. Well impressed.
Admittedly, I already have an account with Barclays so that cuts down time for them to do any checks they may require if you were not.

I was refering to the remaing shares held in my normal investment account not the ones in the new SaS ISA.

It seems from the ammount I have left that I can still put in this new ISA of the £20k I B&I'd there is still £175 remaining.
So I guess that is all it cost me. No dealing charges and £1 for some merger tax thingy.
Oh, and 20 shares went somewhere. lol
Loosing things under the "bed" is the same everywhere I guess. :)

Glad I finally stopped procrastinating yesterday and did the Bed and Isa thing. Did the full £20k and got 28.50/28.505 sell/buy. Quite pleased with just how easy it was after fretting about it for so long. Never thought CGT would ever be a problem I'ld have to worry about. And based on previous investments it never was. lol

Looked for the trade here to see if they split it up but noticed this morning that it had gone through on the NEX exchange.
Hopefully the remaining holding will get to grow enough to fill next years allowance.

It's almost like the original reason for the H&W purchase, to reduce Capex on IM has been glossed over and this was his plan all along. He certainly likes to give that impression even if that's not the case. IMO
It's as if he was told that the ML is a no-goer and said, okay, fair enough, but if we change dirrection and buy up all these ship yards could you chuck a few contracts our way. But don't let DAERA release their outcome until the contracts are in the bag. And TBH, boats are more my thing anyway. :)
Don't get me wrong, I would like to see all of these yards do very well, "going forward".
But something doesn't sit right somehow.

As someone said yesterday, at least they are selling now before they get their hands on any new shares that they would get from any divi/ spin off.

There is also a lot of silt buildup all up the estuary including around the yard itself.
Don't get many large vessles. TBH

Not read the tweets but yes there is a huge sand bar at the mouth of the Taw / Torridge which limits when vessles can exit and enter the estuary and I guess the draught of any vessle wanting to use it. It used to be dredged quite regulary back a while. Hence the sand yard that seperates the two parts of the ship yard. Not sure if they still do as part of that area is now a SSSI.

One thing that is interesting is that Mr and Mrs F's Raglan Road could buy anything and get a happy band of followers to blindly jump onboard.
