It's like having bought a classic car and there is a persistant and annoying squeek on the long journey back home.
You worry that you have bought a lemon. So you pull over, identify the cause and knowing that it can easily be fixed you carry on, in the knowledge that the car will be worth a lot more, one day. :)

Either they have a real need for these constant job adverts and job recruitment evenings, which is great news.
Or they have a hight turnover of staff, which isn't.
When are they going to let us know what all these people are going to be working on?

Or they could be taking it for a test drive to check the repair has worked. Sea trials.
TBH, we could speculate all day about the vessel's particulars without ever finding out the true details.
But, I guess it's something to do while we wait for the results or a contract announcement.

I would imagine if Stonepeak could afford to buy Teekays whole LNG division for $6.2 billion they are not going to be quibbling about the bill for an emergency drydocking and repair. Not sure if Stonepeak are continuing to work at the Yamal LNG project after they concluded the deal back in early January. But, according to their website what they got as part of the deal was " approximately 130 liquefied gas carriers, conventional tankers, and other marine assets"

So, worth doing business with. For a number of reasons.
That shelved FSRU project looks even more like a missed opportunity, given the current climate. And I would imagine a lot quicker to get to market than sucking brine out of rocks.

What they could really do with at Appledore is a proper dockside crane, of a suitable size, based at the Newquay yard.
At the moment they have to hire in mobile cranes in when required. From what I gather, even to crane on the crane for the IE. Obviously, atm, they don't have the through traffic to warrant one so hiring in a probably best until they do. But getting vessles from the patent slip to anywhere other than just out of the water is restrictive. imo
Be interesting to see what plans they have for restructuring the place.

IMO, Appledore is not really suitable for jacket constuction.

Always been interested in tidal projects, OT. Projects like the Severn barage, Swansea Bay.... Good stuff. imo

The potential is that this project can run alongside at it's own pace as we get on with ours.
And at some point, when ours is ready, they would have the storage capacity on hand for the project.

If this is all correct, to be made aware of it a newspapper article just about takes the p!$$.
To not inform the shareholders, when people as selling out, at a loss and at all time lows, just about sums up their regard for their shareholder base. Great PR work there. not.

I see it has a good long term investment. It's a different beast to a CRO and as such will take time. And good to be in at the start with a few freebies to get going with. Similar to how it was when we got ported over from hvivo at around 5p. Look where that went, given time.
