Actually I think the move out of SA is about more than financial decisions. It is following the exodus of large firms such as Anglo who have no confidence in the future governance of the country and I will be taking account of that in my deliberations.

I fully agree that the timing of this move was about as bad as it could be and has certainly devastated shareholder value. Obviously whoever made the offer for the compny has better foresight than our ailing management. However, all is not lost by any means and whichever way this goes, sale or no sale, as long as the vote follows the (realistic) figures value should be restored very quickly. At the moment the sp is hardly based on more than the cash we are being offered for the platignum business, virtually nothing for copper or other assets. The sooner we get this done the better. At the moment, unless we get considerably more reassurance I'm leaning slightly towards a NO vote. Surprise? Shouldn't be.
