The market didn't like that RNS all, nor did LTHs.
Personally I don't see it as the fundamental or times scales have changed. The only thing that RNS has done is confirm the time & investment needed to mature Greenland.
Alba has decided on a JV or sale, which makes sense. It requires a mining major to develop it. Separating it from Alba allows for a that proces to be expedited.
Being as they will try to maintain a significant holding to any JV, any deal or sale will generate revenue. It is years away from producing anything so this move makes sense to me as Alba would never have be able to do the work require or been able to fund it.
As for the Gold, its another 6 months of exploration and cash burn with zero income & undisclosed income from sampling sales.
The fundamentals of Alba hasn't changed for me. Its still a punt worth of maybe £50 a month to me. I don't see the SP increasing through operational value for another 6 months.
If a quick sale or JV for the newly created Greenland company transpires, that will certainly provide capital, but not change the ability to generate cash.
Ultimately GF sees the future of Alba with Gold mining, not graphite mining. If you disagree you can buy shares in the graphite company, which makes sense. He is giving investors the option to invest separately.
Sounds like there is more gold in the ground that has been previously extracted so he is deciding to stick with the no brainer.
I have to say that I agree with the decisions in the RNS and support them.
I am not happy about having to endure another 6 months of exploration. This was always a long term investment. Its just turned into a longer term investment. But it gives me more time to accumulate shares without feeling like I'm going to miss buying in sub .30p. Its going to be here for a while.
