Last thing I'll say on the subject (cheering resonates). I don't know whether the well is good or bad but I do know Mickey isn't telling the truth. I'm not going to dignify the shabby ruse by going over the evidence again but suffice to say the 'mole' didn't seem very good at communicating what we now know by official channels has happened so far on site. I am flabbergasted at the number of previously level-headed posters who seem desperate to believe it but respect their right to an opinion. Again I don't know if the result is good or bad but looking ahead to TE-10 I implore people to understand if TE-9 is a bad result it does not necessarily vindicate Mickey's claims. I would also warn Mr Tentoes that making false claims in an attempt to manipulate a market is a criminal offence and can result in unlimited fines and a max 7 years custodial sentence.

Good point that, not sure but it might have been the last FSC, the thinking being if the Tagi hasn't been charged by the Paleo across the ages then if there's nowt in the Tagi there's nowt in the Paleo so stop drilling and save the cash. Can't recall for certain when it came up, unfortunately I reposted Mickey's revelations late last night and instantly there was a knock at the door, two men in black waved something in front of my face and now I remember nothing.

Okay we've had a bit of fun with this but I'm actually getting slightly disturbed by the number of people who are taking this seriously. I warned during groundworks that a certain someone was attempting to build a position of authority based on a 'mole'. Don't know if it was this fella and really can't be bothered to look back. Suffice to say they called the spud date wrong and the 'go slow' is enough to discredit the latest offerings. I did fear that the 'mole' would be launched with significant effect but unfortunately a litany of market pressures has already done the job for them, on the bright side the attempted coup de grace has been administered with such incompetence it is unlikely to further undermine the SP.

I've got an idea Luckyman, if someone has a copy of Micky's post let's all of us post it, then when we get a phone call from LSE we'll know he was telling the truth and this vindictive character assassination will finally be over.

Holmdene it's obvious that LSE simply looked it up in the phone book, they must have got lucky with the area I'll give you that and that Mickey's surname really is Tentoes, other than that no holes in the story whatsoever.

Luckily they didn't remove the post telling us the insider information that drilling was on a 'go slow', now we have an official RNS informing us we're at total depth ahead of schedule. Put two and two together and you get discredited.

Totally agree Spec this is completely consistent with the new style of SOU which is proving a bit of a culture shock but I'm a lot more relaxed after today's RNS. The wait is going to be tortuous with the trolls upping their efforts but the Directors want to get this exactly right before giving any reference to the gas. If you put yourselves in their shoes it makes absolutely no sense to take any chances, we're at the sharp end now with the big boys watching either as potential suitors or in self-interest from adjoining licenses or both.

After early declarations of gas shows at TE-10 and Badile followed by disappointment they are obviously being mega cautious.

So not going slowly then which pretty much proves much of today's debate was a red herring.

Is he the same chap who was trying to build a position of credibility during the groundworks with claims of an onsite contact? I was a little suspicious of that at the time although it's hardly impossible, seem to remember they called the spud date wrong so maybe ran out of luck and toddled off. We were always going to witness the worst of the dark arts during this drill let's hope SOU pull this off and scatter them forever.

I was hoping that the higher casing points would be indicative of a slightly better than expected uplift in the geology at this prospect. That makes it a potentially better trap than expected. Not a Boffinologist so prepared to be shot down in flames!

As I've said before (re. announcing the Paleozoic and Tagi together), could it be a disservice to investors if it's allowed speculators to trade on a leak of information from the Tagi or even rumours of a leak from the Tagi? It's still my instinct that oddly it's the lack of a leak that is stoking fears fuelled by the cold facts of the build-up to this drill discussed a million times already. Perhaps a more positive way of looking at it is that a strong result in the Paleozoic will more than compensate for say, tight sands in the Tagi but where would that leave the seismic? Still believe there's no meaningful leak but that could possibly be my blind optimism.

When you read about the scale of the thing as detailed by Mole I am increasingly convinced that the second major will be announced simultaneously. Should it be Exxon then they announce at US Eastern Time so 5 hours on from us. It's only two weeks on from the first major but almost 2.5 months since the NDA was announced with '2 majors' so surely something soon. In the words of Delia Smith c'mon Zaza 'Let'shbe Hav'in Youzze!!'.

Wasn't Cove offshore? Another positive for us in comparison - if we can just find some more commercial gas....
