New_2 there's no reason why it can't be done that way, I've certainly participated in equity raises where you have to be on the register on a certain date to qualify. Investors here have to be offered a deal that gives them a chance of being rewarded for their investment. Primary Bid essentially does the opposite and will go down like a lead balloon. As I said with Carver on the board there it would look grubby at best.

I'm not against a fund raise but given the circumstances it has to be handled in a manner sensitive to the opinions of hard pressed investors. Firstly I can only see it being approved if our Directors pledge to participate significantly. I also think any mention of Primary Bid would be hugely unpopular, it invariably proves to be free gift to the flippers but a kick in the @£$% to existing investors. Also with Clive Carver a Director there it would yet again look like him profiting from the misery of AST shareholders.

Note that the BHGE RNS refers to collaboration in the Mtsarekhevi field so must be a tripartite relationship across all our resources.

No way he can go from talking about partners in the plural, farm-in's etc to crash bang wallop it's a solo MOU arrangement with BHGE. Then in two days prepare the RNS, run it past the lawyers for release on Monday. That scenario absolutely doesn't stack up.

He's a politician and he's playing to his audience at home. If he just wanted reassurances from ARSO that the correct procedures had been taken and without 'inappropriate pressure' then I think frustrating though it is, we had no choice but to give ARSO the chance to respond to him. I know this has taken an insane length of time but diplomacy is our only hope we just haven't got the time or financial muscle to win a game of push and shove. The threat of legal action could be terminal but I understand Colin's despair.

I think the reference to 'similar cases' in other industries is a clear hint that these obstacles are endemic in the country and region. I suspect there are bureaucrats at many levels who are very grumpy at the lack of a slippery substance on the inside of their hands.

On Leben's Linked in profile it says he studied at the 'University of Hatfordshire'. While I wouldn't dream of doubting this noble seat of learning I would have thought he might have remembered how to spell it.

I don't think it's just the trading plan but I do believe the Deep Dive has had a deep impact. I found it fascinating but I suspect it spooked a lot of cautious money sitting on the sidelines. I'd love to know if JP anticipated the effect it would have and was simply ambivalent given that we're funded for the make or break phase and the SP being irrelevant to LE etc etc. It would be churlish as a PI to complain about being levelled with in this way but giving the floor to the geologists who were in their element detailing the complexity of their task came as a huge reality check if not culture shock to what we've witnessed before. My guess is JP was a little taken aback by the reaction hence the Churchillian address before the last FC. I'm not complaining at all as we've never had the risks so clearly laid out but I think it goes a long way to explaining the complete lack of market excitement with the current drill.

.... we seem to be left with more questions than answers. I thought it would be helpful to review the 24th Oct interview and I think there's some clear(ish) pointers there. Right at the start Zaza talks about being in talks with a 'couple' of super majors, so assuming the RNS went before the legal team last Friday at the latest then are we to believe that just two days after the interview we're down to one? Unlikely I'd have thought, so listening on (at 6.35) Zaza mentions 'joint operational agreements' (plural!) and also 'co-investing with potential partners', again I only scraped my Eng Lang 'O'-level but that's plural as well. For me there is room in the game for another player and this will be the announcement to blow our socks off.

Looks like that's a no WB as Mtsarekhevi is referred to in this deal.

I've been enjoying all the positivity this weekend and I sense the SP is going to perform well tomorrow. However after the recent promo interviews I do think something has to be presented in black and white in the next five days or scepticism will yet again hold sway by the end the week.

Lucky, the SP is dampened by the expectation of the next JP sale so not much for the de-rampers to do really. I know it's been said 100's of times but it's all about the endgame now, just a shame that JP felt overexposed and the TP is throttling the SP. Means nothing to the LE but things would feel so much more positive if we had a buoyant shareprice.

Brian once said TE-8 was drilled too fast, so maybe a good thing they're reacting to subtle differences in the geology as they go. Suspect it means little in the greater scheme of things but if they have encountered the 'Middle Jurassic Dolomite and Limestones' 100m higher could it suggest that the uplift in the entire formation at TE-9 (one of the reasons why they targetted it) is slightly better than expected? Hang on this is too positive - expect a JP TP trade in after hours RNS! :)

Fair enough Pecten you're right I shouldn't have said that - the rest I stand by. On other matters, this latest interview is a flamin joke. We've heard it all before Zaza get some facts and figures on the table before shareholders and give us the 'scraps from under your table' before we all die of exposure to this toxic stock.

No Starage but I worry that Zaza is playing his cards in public to appease us shareholders which is in effect raising the stakes on a result. If all is good with the wells I'd much rather see the numbers laid before us with empirical facts regarding the increase in production / revenue / ridding ourselves of the lenders over the perpetual end of the rainbow result that is constantly dangled.
