There's no way JP can resign, we all know deep down that if walked away we'd be thrown straight into even worse market turmoil. It's hard to be brutal about BM as he comes across as such a pleasant, avuncular gentleman but his record is pitiful and he's rapidly dismantling my largest investment. If the TE-10 location is set in stone (hopefully by some miracle the permeable type!) he's done his job on that, but we need some fresh thinking on TE-11 - could be the last chance saloon.

I've had a brilliant idea, rather than sacking Brian perhaps he could try an internal job swap with JJ Traynor. As our CFO was partly brought in to 'deepen our institutional shareholder following' (JP's words) maybe Brian will have more luck with that (as long as no one asks about his holding, err awkward). Similarly, JJ might have hidden depths as an Exploration Director.

With the Enagas FEED and assuming a GSA can be delivered this is not unrealistic Fel, twenty pence and we may as well roll again. The implications for the value of the seismic after TE-9 failure is obviously not going to help (yes I know 10 & 11 are different prospects) but I think JP's hand may be forced now, shareholders will want to know what their options are. I expect calls are growing from significant shareholders to pass this on now and I wonder if this slight rally is in anticipation of that? JP has been unusually quiet after this one.....

I agree JP needs to stay on and sort it out but I can't see a case for keeping Brian in his position. JP has said before that he could sell SOU on our existing discovery for an 'interesting price' well I think there is now an overwhelming case for this to be put before shareholders who if like me are losing their appetite for risk. I think the majority of shareholders would take anything above 80p now so he must be duty bound to level with us, of course I'm assuming it wasn't just another one of those soundbites was it??

The market always seems to anticipate bad news with SOU I'm afraid. I've held off posting today because I wanted to let the emotion subside but I'm not feeling any better yet. One bit of housekeeping re. The Mole, I did say before the results that a failure would not prove the integrity of the mole and contact, but on reflection it does make it more probable that he was telling the truth. I'm still not 100% as there were inconsistencies in the claims but as I was vocal on the subject I will apologise on the assumption he was channelling what he believed to be good information. As for the company well in retrospect we can't berate them for drilling a duster but because of what we now know about the quality of the seismic I'm enraged about the TP and the CIP distribution (or Marco's TP). The fact that these came with the seismic half complete shows that they were acting on uncertainties in the data coming back which would be fine if we were informed of this, but no all we were told were half-truths about exciting prospects etc etc. The DD I now feel was the board coming clean, decoded it now looks like an admission that further success was unlikely but it was too late for most of us, having been invested for so long and already seen such a decline in the SP we hung in there, JP sold getting on for a million either before or during the event, I'm sorry for fans of JP but that is truly appaling. I have thought long and hard about this but after comments such as 'The best geology I've ever seen' (Badile) and 'As good as it gets' (TE-9) Brian should do the decent thing and resign. We can hardly blame him for not buying shares now can we? He would probably have a great future as a financial advisor as his personal investment decisions are 1000 times better than his ability to find gas. We can only really hope for luck at the next two prospects because with the seismic in tatters that is what it will come down to.

Genuinely not joking but saw a man in the High Street where I live wearing a Schlumberger jacket yesterday. Not quite the coincidence it might sound as they have a technology centre not a million miles from me near Stroud. I was about to cross the street to politely question him but a tractor passed and when it had gone he had vanished. Funny thing was just before the tractor I'm sure he smiled at me and nodded knowingly. Okay I might have made up the last bit... and the bit before that but the first bit is true.

There is another take on the lack of communications, starting with the GSA, I have wondered for a while if it was being held back as a parachute for the SP in the event of TE-9 failure. Interestingly though in the last six months the board have acted in a way which shows near indifference to the SP which has been painful for us but perhaps a sign of supreme confidence. Could it be our suitor is closer than we know and it's their hand holding back the GSA?Speculating on the webcam is a mug's game (remember the Badile Tweet 'It's a beautiful Day at Badile') anyway I'm up for a mug's game so here goes..... nothing from TE-10 since the 7th. Personally, if 9 was looking poor I'd at least be rallying morale and emphasising the next target if only for the sanity of shareholders. Is there significance in no updates? Maybe not we've been here before after all but could the next course of events be log results from TE-9 with minimal information, perhaps just the gas intervals and then an announcement of an official shutdown in communications as SOU moves into final talks with our big best friend?? I suppose you could just as easily argue that if TE-9 has worked then would JP want to roll the dice again? Apologies for the stream of consciousness but there just has to be some meaning in the non-appearance of the GSA.

It's certainly very encouraging thanks for posting. If you're of a nervous disposition (suffice to say I don't think my liver can take much more) you might want to look away because in a way it raises the stakes further and makes failure at TE-9 pretty much unthinkable. If that location is 'as good as it gets' then sentiment which is currently on its knees, is going to be collapsed on the floor and gasping for air if 9 doesn't flow. We know it's been drilled without problems so we should be fine, just to throw some fat on the fire of the TE-10 webcam suspension conspiracy theory though anyone else wondering if we won't get a conventional log results RNS but instead the shutters come down completely as interested parties put their heads together?

If the Brexit Minister resigns because he can't back the deal that he himself negotiated then the only choice is to go back to the country. The whole thing has been moving this way for months I'm just surprised with the likely dodgy financing of the Leave campaign that we haven't reached this point sooner.

Hmmm if TE-9 was a problem you'd think they'd want to communicate that the programme goes on. I wonder if the next RNS will be that we're in a news blackout situation, maybe a NDA while all interested parties scrutinise the data from the well. Total guesswork and extrapolating from what's going on at FRR though they're almost certainly looking for a partner rather than a complete handover. Perhaps this thinking is because I can hardly bear to imagine opening a hyperlink titled 'TE-9 Log Results' but I just wonder if events will take a different path from what we're expecting?

That's strange Seaton I've got monitor problems too, the intraday chart appears to be upside down. By the time I've turned the computer off and back on again I'm sure it will have corrected itself.

For heaven's sake I'm just saying it's time to deliver or the market will lose faith in the promises. Do you honestly think I believe that what I write here makes an ounce of difference to the negotiations? Just read what I'm saying or ask someone to read it out for you and we wouldn't have these misunderstandings.

Really annoys when people don't read all of your contribution before posting a rebuttal. I specifically referred to the timeline from 3rd September as being significant, so I'm not getting concerned after 'two weeks' but 2.5 months from the NDA. Also there's nothing in my post that suggests I believe 'shouting for news' will magically bring it forth, so flamin patronising!! I simply think that with the history of the company and the tantalising hints in Zaza's media interviews it's time to deliver or the market will increasingly lose faith. Contrary opinions welcome but please do everyone the service of reading what's been written first.

This is nothing to do with charts for heaven's sake. General sector malaise with increasing scepticism about Zaza's claims. He really has to come up with the goods soon or it's going to be brutal. It might only be a couple of weeks since the MOU announcement but well over two months since the NDA was first RNS'd. Everyone who holds has made a massive leap of faith by remaining invested during this extended period of no information on the well tests and we deserve some answers now.

I agree, we know how shaky confidence was prior to drilling, the only short-lived correction came following JP's Churchillian address. Since then the overwhelming loss of belief which was originally driven by the DD and TP has gathered pace with general market jitters. I also think it's bizarrely the lack of a leak that's adding to the sell-off, we've undergone a huge change of style and I reckon they're running the tightest possible ship out there. I admit the SP is getting me down (my wine reduction programme has been shot to smithereens!!) but it's meaningless to the endgame. Less reassuring are the implications of failure at TE-9, seismic in tatters for a start, though somehow I'm really confident and I'm normally the glass half full type!
