I was thinking about that SO, the mm's must have been caught low on stock yesterday. That makes me very confident that if we have a commercial discovery we will return to our highs quickly, it changes everything. Whereas stocks with high PI holdings are normally very liquid why would LTH's part with their shares in the success case? I'm just praying that the RNS was cautious in keeping with their self proclaimed change in style, lessons learnt from Badile and all that. It's an absolutely massive 'if' but should we have a discovery why would any long-term holder return their shares to the market in the 20's, 30's or 40's? Naturally there will always be some with pressing needs, new money that found the bottom etc but if it's a hit I'm not even considering selling the handful I picked up in the 11's let alone my ISA holding..... IF

To be fair LTH's that have hung in here under unbelievable pressure should just enjoy this for now, if this truly is the real deal and we have a discovery I plan to celebrate every time we pass the point of each of my ill-advised top up's over the last two years. I remember hearing that every time Curtly Ambrose took a wicket overseas his mum would go onto the porch and ring a hand bell whatever time of day or night it was. Well I'm going to fire a canon and open an increasingly expensive bottle of wine (think my worst was in the low 80's for the children's ISA's, a running sore that one!). Ah well, we can dream, probably blown it now - RNS on Monday announcing TE-10 uncommercial and an impending asteroid strike will wipe out TE-7 to boot.

While I am relishing none of this there are positives. The biggie is Hope being unable to get his case in order before the 18th. If Zaza has a friend it's time, if it was possible Hope would have wanted to nail Zaza at the first opportunity, he was unable to do that. I still believe there is a positive path out of this but Zaza seems to have taken a huge risk and unless he delivers a slam dunk investors won't be very forgiving for dragging us through this, mind you in that scenario it won't matter. I did nervously check the BP page to see if there was a statement declaring no knowledge of being in a NDA with FRR but nothing yet.

He did the old routine of turning up all innocent asking what's going on just out of interest and within half an hour he's spouting nonsense. Just proves that many of these people aren't even paid derampers just gloaters who are getting an extra frisson of excitement with the time of year. At worst I've lost some dosh here but not my dignity as a human being.

It's starting to wear thin that everything that goes against us is all part of Zaza's master plan. I think the resignation by Cairn (while not the end of the world) does put more pressure on Zaza to settle rather than the vultures. In the long run that may not be a bad thing for shareholders. Unless these events are subsequently proved to have been unavoidable I wonder how shareholders will view Zaza's actions in bringing us to the brink particularly at this time of year. The now infamous 'Christmas Presents' comment could yet be a fitting epitaph!

That's probably the only positive spin that can be put on events this morning. After all Cairn presided over affairs whilst a boardroom became a battleground, remember they are as responsible for the actions of Hope as they are for Zaza hence their resignation is not necessarily an indictment of Zaza just an acknowledgement that affairs should never have reached crisis point.

Yes you're right Kenirogas there is still a risk here that despite the good intentions of Zaza could his desperation to rid the company of the bloodsuckers have lead to a legal error of judgement? Obviously I'm biased but common sense suggests that a technical misjudgement over the default, if there was one might lead to less advantageous terms in the settlement rather than something more catastrophic. I accept that the letter of the law might not see it this way in the absolute worst case scenario.

One useful exercise I can recommend is to try staring into the abyss as a holder. List all the big questions that hang over us now and consider the nightmare scenario in each case. I won't list them here as out of context they could appear highly libellous. As a hint start with the identity of the big seller. Now try and make sense of it as a whole and it just doesn't work unless you weave a web of intrigue and deception so incredible that even a John Grisham novel would be believable. It basically comes down to the 'raison d'etre' of Zaza versus Hope & Outrider. One is working to create an enterprise with holdings in allignment with PI's and the country of Georgia, the other exists for the opposite purpose - take your pick.

I had hoped this could just be ignored as the prattlings of a narcissistic blogger but it's become too big. FRR will have to make a statement on Monday as a duty to shareholders if nothing else, if they can produce a rebuttal with the Nomad there should be no need for a suspension.

SR I assume you didn't think I meant that a trial might be conducted by members of the public?? Are you saying that in the Cayman Islands a trial is never conducted before a judge and jury (I appreciate it would take an escalation to come to that)? I still don't understand why the submitted documents are publicy available before a decision. Anyway I'm sure you didn't maliciously misunderstand (which I think does happen here a lot) but I think I'll withdraw from now this is getting so complex it's difficult to make your point without this happening. Jeremiah they have been submitted to the court whose jurisdiction is above a NDA. So I'm not surprised they are in the court's possession but it's amazing they are publicy available before a trial has even started. Even during the course of a trial there is often evidence which cannot be reported so it's weird that it's readily available - don't understand to be honest.
