Don't want to offend Nicnoc but that's one of those 'if I had a pound for every.....' on these boards. To be honest if you can buy below the mid-price it's simply indicative of a weak market, the fault is not with the MM giving you a good price to buy, but with the platform you're watching which then assumes it's a sell. Usually when you see people complaining about this the share is about to drop further as the offer drops to nearer what you got to buy at and the bid accordingly drops further still. More pain to come probably.

Don't think it was 'slippery', JP stated it was an instruction from the NOMAD, are you suggesting he made that up? I guess the advisor observed all the inferences that were being made during TE-10 on the depth of the first casing point, no announcement on the liner etc and told SOU it would be better not to divulge these progress reports. It's a bit annoying as at least it gave the majority of investors the chance to speculate on what was going on, no doubt the market will tell us before we get the RNS. I don't blame the board for that it's just inevitable.

I don't think it is a big deal at all by the way. I'm only posting my opinion on it because people are getting increasingly insulting on the subject. I'm perfectly calm, all I said was that I thought the CC chap who asked the question of JP raised an interesting point and got an odd answer. I knew it would only be a matter of time before the 'grow a pair' style of post would start popping up, it's really those contributors who should get their mental age checked out.

I haven't seen any regular posters questioning the provenance of the letter, but it is odd that it isn't attributed to a senior official at OGIF. Clearly it's lunacy to suggest it's not genuine but I thought James' answer to the question during the CC wasn't satisfactory. Anyway it's a minor issue and just one of those bumps in the road you get as a consequence of the team's unparalleled communications.

Shuan - As I made it explicit I don't for one second think it is anything but genuine. It's beyond the most insane conspiracy theories, but no name and signatory is a concern and JP's response was unsatisfactory - I repeat words to the effect 'that's how they send them' - no way!

No obviously not in a million years or we are on the cusp of total meltdown. As ever I think the caller who asked that question was justified. Not trying to be clever and just to prove it I admit it was the first thing I thought when I saw the letter and then put it to the back of my mind so no Brownie points for me. On reflection, I believe JP was slightly exposed by the question and his answer was unsatisfactory ('that's how they send them" or similar) - so all OGIF letters come anonymously and not signed - REALLY? Unless someone can convince me this is a conventional way to construct business letters in Morroco then nobody at OGIF wanted to be the signatory to a letter of support that could very possibly look like a mistake at a later date.

You don't see many pictures on JL's Twitter which aren't of him - now we know he's a sensitive soul so I wouldn't dare use it on here but there's a word for that, and it isn't just 'politician'.

Yep it's so frustrating. I guess we just have to accept that this is what you're exposed to when management have historically been forced to throw so much equity around to survive. We can only pray that Zaza's strategy is going to pull us through and it's sunlit uplands ahead. The financing update was very promising but in classic FRR style no-ones actually signed on the dotted line - that would be far too much like certainty!!

FSC to level with shareholders on revised risks, RNS tomorrow with offer to be discussed at CC. Maybe JP finally feels duty bound to give shareholders the chance of an exit following recent performance. He didn't rule it out during the last FSC. Only problem is I fear an offer made now will be less Mooncheese and more hard cheese! Needless to say total ill-informed guesswork on my part.

I'm not sure if the point is being willfully missed but a lot of people seem to be not getting the signifance of acquiring this kind of funding without equity, absolutely massive rubber stamp for the credibility of the company. I also wonder if finalising 'definitive agreements' could have something to do with the second major, perhaps that is what has given the fund the confidence to put this kind of cash on the table.

The fund wouldn't countenance making this scale of loan without comprehensive evidence that we're going to be able to pay it back. This is proof positive that the oil is flowing significantly, without that this would be equity and doom. As ever with FRR we're left guessing as I'd much rather have the figures. There's also the possibility that the market will take it as evidence that the 2nd major isn't joining the party, though it could be that Zaza wants the relationship on a more equal footing. Do hope the Christmas present 2018 won't just be that we're able to borrow flippin great wads of cash!
