I guess we'll have to accept that the JP trades will come eventually. Can't remember the figures off the top of my head but there's a fair way to go before he gets down to 31M. Not sure exactly how these things work having never had one myself... (that is a plan of any sort!) but I would imagine it is within his power to cancel the TP which I have been thinking about recently. My guess is he won't because he will clearly be left with plenty of exposure plus to cancel now (ie. after the TE-10 'discovery', we hope) would in a way confirm the worst mutterings as to why it was implemented in the first place.

Joe I wouldn't get upset about it - some of the oddball characters we've had over the years have certainly added some colour to the board. I remember there was someone with an odd name starting with Marsh who seemed to want to be bullied who I was actually quite concerned about. There's clearly some sort of issue with SG's posting and I now regret engaging in debate even though it was light-hearted, hope he finds some peace soon.

AASSHH we're all 'strong holders' for now:) The fact is that in the worst case scenario we have already lost everything. We can only pray that Zaza knows what he's doing.

Quite, you can't put it just down to the herd mentality. We had TE-8, Badile, uncertain re-entry results at SM, JP trading plan, Marco's distribution, DD (or crash back down to earth!) and TE-9 - did I miss anything? So I wouldn't blame anyone for jitters, those real-life events listed above are 100 times more significant than nervous vibes expressed on here. Those of us have stuck it out because we believe in the discovery supported by the Enagas FEED and the hope that we would eventually have another hit. Looks like that's happened and the recovery is underway.

You're probably right Jag I was always quite chuffed that I managed to never filter anyone until I eventually cracked and currently have one in there. Not a deramper funnily enough, but similar to the reasons you outlined.

Shuan for heaven's sake why don't digest the nuances of what people are saying instead of making such sweeping statements. I certainly don't remember many people saying we shouldn't drill TE-10. There was certainly a lot of pessimism given the COS which was understandable. Most people putting an argument that a deal between TE-10 and TE-11 might be a good idea are doing so with caveats - what we actually have at 10, what price could be achieved etc. But of course it doesn't suit you to take that on board, easier to lump everyone together and make a macho generalisation. You forgot to quote your ever oscillating 200 - 220p valuation by the way.

Agree with that Mancave it's going to be about balancing risk/reward for both parties. If TE-10 is the success we're hoping for let's retire while on the front foot rather than 'retired hurt'...... groan.

Lucky I'm very optimistic that TE-10 will cement us in that +£1 zone and yes TE-11 could be extraordinary. I just feel the time could be right to deal, certainly exciting times!

I don't know the latest on Sidi Moktar except that questions were asked at the latest FSC's and CC and it's obviously still a meaningful prospect. Any SM experts out there?

With respect to everyone genuine, I still think some of our aspirations for a LE sale are clouded by the loony (but great fun) valuations of the past. Remember prior to TE-8 we believed there was a possibility of having a super giant connected gas field. We also hoped Badile would sweeten the deal and that Sidi Miktar was a plug and play. Things are very different now and getting a deal done as soon as feasible for north of a pound might be in shareholders interests if something in that area is even on the table, who knows I could be ramping! GLA honest posters.

Well let's hope so Yogurt but I'm still worried about a big global slowdown or worse, imagine what it might do to the value of oil and gas. By the way thanks for offering some thoughtful analysis with your reply (unlike some....).

.... I wonder if this discovery puts a deal in the area where JP should be duty bound to go to shareholders. In my opinion global headwinds mean a settlement way below the fantasy valuations could be acceptable. By that I reckon anything above £1 could be a good outcome prior to TE-11. This is massively below my aspirations 18 months ago but I fear the inevitable influence of the global economic cycle could play increasingly into our suitor's hands and if the worst does happen then no major will be looking for acquisitions at all.

Won't the Nomad have to put a stop to this unless they RNS something tangible?

I really expected a fundamental re-rate but there are some hefty sellers happy to take profit. Perhaps we'll kick on after this churn. We've probably had enough treats for one day but I'd have thought a juicy flare pic would be allowed now given the info RNS'd?
