Not so much a case of many months but just over two years.... Mr Parsons (Feb 2017) "My prefered endgame for this company... secure a liquidity event". Not just rumours but a declared strategy from the CEO.

I think we've had one of them already - that is, there's a chance that in a few weeks time TE-10 will make our existing 0.65 TCF look like the small bowl, we're in the big bears nosh* now!

Could be that I'm so sick and tired of sitting in the LE waiting room that my judgement has gone awry but I'm hoping there's a chance that TE-10 has shifted the 'Goldilocks Zone' forward, ie. have we found the blimmin great big bowl of porridge already and another find would make us just too hot?? (Think that works, hmmm....)

BigMark, JP has often alluded to a scenario where the preferred outcome (complete sale) is not achieved. The company has been positioned to ensure that there is a backup plan which not only ensures we could ride out this outcome (though guess we'd need more funding or a partner) but also to strengthen our bargaining position with possible suitors. If you want to hear it from the horse's mouth I'm afraid you'll need to trawl through the FSC's and CC's. I'm sure you've been around for a while so I'm a little bit surprised you're asking - hope you find what it is you're after.

Not sure why everyone is surprised that his emails paint him in a good light. He is obviously not daft, Outrider would have known there was a strong chance of this ending in court so he's hardly going to conveniently incriminate himself by supplying Zaza with a digital running commentary of his underhand motives. There must be more evidence not in the public domain - hope so.....

This is a strange time to be a SOU holder particularly if you've weathered all the ups and downs. We're dwindling down in the once unthinkable 20's and I admit I'm feeling weary and yet I genuinely believe the offer could come completely out of the blue. Most likely is that with positive results from TE-10 something very acceptable will be put to us and we won't be seeing Wacky Races at TE-11. Assuming Feb delivers a big result the 'Goldilocks Zone' could be between 10 and 11 and my guess is that we will only drill the third well if TE-10 doesn't give JP the bargaining power he wants to deliver on all the promises. Ps. I don't really know as you'd already guessed!

Certainly encouraging that they're going to these lengths to get the figures to us - proves they must be good in my opinion. I know some companies that you would welcome the excuse of ASX rules to keep their shareholders in the dark.

Hi Lawrence hope you don't think I'm being sanctimonious but I'd suggest while there is nothing wrong with making specific criticisms of the Rothschilds if you refer to them with general terms like 'satanic swamp' you could perhaps inadvertently be aligning yourself with an extremely unpleasant ideology. I trust you didn't intend that.

I'm not so sure, over the years there has been speculation before every SOU investor event, trip, conference call, FSC etc that we'll hear something materially new and with the exception of the Shard, and maybe because of the Shard (it is rumoured it cost Mary Hood her job) there will almost certainly be nothing. I suspect every LTH can remember where they were on 29 Jul 16 even if not at the event. If John Argent does refer to TE-10 officially I'm sure it will be as the already RNS'd 'discovery'.

Well I wouldn't want to play poker against Zaza. I scrutinised all those interviews and couldn't detect a flicker of doubt in his demeanour. I suppose they were never exactly the most probing of questions, more pr exercises but given the murky complexities now surfacing he's one hell of a performer. Our only prayer is that he's played a last fine hand on the shareholders' behalf against Hope but my optimism is slipping all the time now. Sorry I can't raise the spirits but it's probably better that we all prepare for the worst, unless the court action delivers not just a positive result but a clear path forward and vindication for all the secrecy I don't see how Zaza can retain the trust of shareholders even in the event of our survival.

Thanks Tim - I missed that from Devon. It will be good to have a group with a practical function as well as the chat. Not questioning anyone's right to post here in whatever style they choose but to be honest some of the loony stuff is becoming unbearable.

To be fair Jez the comment, "The Company is delighted to confirm that it has now selected the location for TE-11" (28th Jan RNS) doesn't suggest they're waiting for TE-10 results. Whether the well design could be tweaked on the strength of new data I wouldn't know.

A lot of people were rightly concerned after the failure at TE-9. It was the lowest risk and Brian had implied that if we found nothing then something would be seriously wrong. The implications for the seismic looked grim. Many of us myself included expressed our doubts and somewhere in the emotional fall-out someone questioned if it was even worth drilling TE-10. Shuan seems to have extrapolated from that comment that everyone bar him and an anointed few completely bottled it and wanted to curl up and die. According to the law of Shuan the quivering masses who were alarmed by TE-9 shouldn't have invested in O&G exploration and should now be gagged from commenting on TE-10. As a serial petty criminal I would like to say that I am increasingly convinced that SOU are certain they have the stratigraphic, it's a question of how big.

Mapp I understand that it can be cathartic to get your feelings out there but honestly reading the same stuff again and again is getting tedious to put it gently. This is a time of great stress for everyone and I fear you could start getting some real flak soon.
