That was one of my concerns, seems crazy to talk about possible delays when protracted delays are the norm but I doubt any new minister would want to announce themselves to the Slovenian public by seeing through permits for re-stimulation and a gas processing plant. I expect they'll want to demonstrate that they've shown their own personal diligence. Leben's demise is definitely a good thing but I really can't see us benefitting instantly. Hope I'm wrong!

Ironically it could even slow things down (although that might be mathematically impossible), after all as the Minister he was the public face of a much broader opposition to our activities. I wouldn't go so far as to say 'better the devil you know' as we can only hope that changes will break the log jam. Anyway well done to those that went with the equity raise, hope the SP holds up. I just couldn't put more in with the pathway forward so vague, but hopefully after tonight it will be sunlit uplands....

Well innocent until proven guilty and all that but I think it's good that the resignation appears to be triggered by a more high profile issue for Slovenia. In my opinion that makes it less likely for his supporters to target their indignation at our project.

Absolutely agree Bradis it would be bonkers to RNS this. CH will also tread carefully when commenting on this at the update meeting.

Usually it means he has been asked to offer his resignation thereby giving him the chance to leave honourably without being sacked. We'll soon find out as in this scenario it will be swiftly accepted. If not then it has come out of the blue and I don't see how CH could have known about it. Could take some heat off him at the event though, has he just become lucky Colin?

I think we all do having had three months to prepare ourselves for the worst. Have to keep reminding myself of the positives just to stay sane in the meantime - Zaza's holding, production and the extraordinary comments from Malcy. The downsides are almost too chilling to list but I'm just praying that when we watched all those super smooth interviews we weren't simply witnessing a master of his craft at work. I'm not casting any judgement just yet but as every day passes I sense the Saint v Sinner dial clicking the wrong way.

I'm sure if he could rewind he would tone down the hype and promises but yes you can't fault the accessibility. I wouldn't say you can't fault the communications because of the missed timelines but I accept this is an uncertain business. On emails I have never understood why people automatically JP. I admit over the years I have on about three or four occasions but why not try to address drilling matters to BM and corporate stuff to JJ?. I suspect he wouldn't admit it but I'm sure it would help to spread the load as we enter this critical period.

To be fair Crude I did notice that during a videoed presentation in Morocco he was sitting backwards on a chair (Kids From Fame style) and I think he was wearing a wing collar (find me a pick of George Clooney in black tie minus conventional collar) so you just can't say he hasn't put a foot wrong.

I wish one of Partridge's predictions would finally peep out of the nest and fledge one day.

DarkE - of course it's all hypothetical at this stage but however positive the partnership has been I do think there could be a conflict of interests for both sets of shareholders if the LE was handled in this way. I'd be happier if Schlumberger chose to cash in their share of the assets with (fingers crossed) outside parties competing for it.

Obviously don't want to tempt fate by getting too far ahead of ourselves but you can't discuss this without making assumptions. So assuming TE-10 comes in mid-case and just theoretically we then left Schlumberger to it prior to TE-11 what would be the minimum PI's would expect per share to avoid the preferential status of Schlumberger looking like a bad deal for PI's? I don't necessarily have a problem with a potential LE happening this way but I can foresee a right rumpus if a deal came way short of expectations.

Eric - that's true but when that was agreed there was no discovery so certainly no guarantee that they had a good deal. That's why I believe they would still have leverage if there was a coronation rather than a competitive tussle for our assets, assuming we have the prize of course!

Crude although a deal with Schlumberger seems on the face of it a neat solution I can see complications that might not serve the PI well. Assuming TE-10 comes in then surely in negotiating the deal they would rightly argue that as a partner they have shouldered much of the drilling risk and financed the seismic. Wouldn't there have to be a significant discount to reflect this which could look all too cosy and leave PI's questioning if their interests have been best served? Appreciate there is a string of assumptions in this argument and any negotiations are going to be highly complex but doesn't JP have a duty to court the wider market?

DJ, horrible to get all serious again but history suggests nothing will be RNS'd before the event - it makes no sense. The timing of the event (on the cusp of testing) clearly communicates that there will be nothing new to say other than non-price sensitive details. There's no way an offer will come in prior to testing, the good old SOU PI's will largely carry the risk into the programme and reap the rewards should it come good.
