That's the point isn't it CHRI5P, DB's analysts will have been all over our data and they were happy to pay 12.75p. As I said the other day they hold the cash and that gives them immense leverage. They will have tried to get it lower and I trust that our Exec's will have negotiated for higher but the fact is DB saw 12.75p as a figure they expect to make a return off. From the green box and your post I guess someone's back belittling their own investment which makes no more sense now than it ever did.

........ up! I smoked one of em out :) Someone got careless selling 80,000 for 9.60, I was dummy testing quotes for big chunks around that time and getting higher than that.

They were doing a great job throughout 2020 but with the concerted campaign to convince this board otherwise you could be forgiven for thinking everything was unravelling. The placing was never going to be popular but if the funds advance us to stronger negotiating position we might one day look back on it very differently. Good to see some blue on the board but I'm more interested in hearing about continued progress on the ground, that's what will ultimately deliver here.

Yes next review in March. Sorry looking more closely I was a bit hasty, lots of 250 companies below £1B so likely we wouldn't need that to get back in, thanks all for not 'piling on', what a nice board :) Of course it all depends on the competition ie. how badly some current members perform and how we fare against entrant competitors.

Manika Premsingh seems to think SHI is still in the FTSE 250, guess you don't need to research on Motley Fool! Still if we did have a cracking year it would be a real boost to get back in.

I agree CHRI5P, for a start DB were happy to pay 12.75p. Their analysts will have fought tooth and nail to get the placing as low as possible, you have a lot of muscle when you've got the cash and someone else wants it so really 12.75 should have been a reasonable base before the PEA and then progress thereafter. Hopefully we will see some new PI's here, maybe even some who don't bash their own investment :) I still think the key to getting a rise that holds and progresses is firstly funding reassurance that we can complete the PFS without more equity and material proof that we have non dilutive options.

That article was almost a year old to be fair, Feb or April depending if they use the US date format, but things do seem to take a while to sink in with EUZ :) Wonder if there's anything behind this rise? I wouldn't have thought rig mobilisation would move us. Fingers crossed it might be something positive from the B2B meetings last year. Who knows but it is strange how all the bashers disappeared at the same time, not that I think they were holding it down but there does seem to be a subtle change in sentiment on here with posts about operations, metals etc rather than the wall to wall Laurence Read chronicles.

That ironically named poster seems to have disappeared without a trace Jedster! I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about drilling yet. Since they decided not to start as the Christmas break was approaching I would have hoped they'd have hit the ground running in the New Year. There has been a lot of snow in Spain and the town of Toral de los Vados is quite high so maybe a delay?

Just to get everyone on the same page the near 1B figure is in $'s and is revenue not profit. The EBITDA is a better measure of profitability and currently stands at US$471m. That's US$9.59 per share before taxes and depreciation. Basically that reassures me that everything stacks up but the really exciting thing is that the resource is open along strike and at depth, we have proved only one block within the licence. Being in the same vicinity as historically profitable mines (before ore sorting technology) suggests it is unimaginable that there aren't further profitable reserves on our licence. We are demonstrating that anyone with the cash WILL make significant money on the proven central mining area but with untold running room on the acreage.

I'm also not sure why the mining licence is cited as an issue. The priority is to complete the work to complete a PFS. Applying for a mining licence would be putting the cart in front of the horse. Importantly with the investigation permit and other evidence of us being strongly embedded in the region should Bara recommend that the project should proceed to a mining operation in the PFS then I'm sure the local authorities will be supportive.

Yep could be the year EUZ becomes the darling of AIM..... no really I mean it! I think we're clearly being held back by funding fears which is understandable with the history of dilutions. There is also this grey area over being funded for 'key components' of the PFS though the EU grant landed since then. I asked them to clarify this at the AGM and if I'm honest despite being positive here I didn't think the answer was satisfactory. From memory MC started talking about how it doesn't take much work to get from PFS to BFS which isn't what I asked, he should be a politician!
