Well, with inflation 2900 is the same as 2700 in 2021.
So anything under here is just as cheap!
I can't understand anyone who would be selling now. "Put buy orders where you would put your stop losses".

Sold at 450, bought back in at 402. Dividend soon. What's not to like? And people moan about crashes!!

Unfortunately I topped up at 2080. This does on paper look like a good hedge for the other market issues. But this is going to put some dent on prices tomorrow!

Of course I have absolutely no data on how much is leveraged, it may be very little.

The problem is that these banks, insurance and pensions companies have leveraged their reserves significantly.
So take for example their UK guilts which have an average 14 year tenure dropping by about 50% because of the rate rises, and you've leveraged say 9x.
If you have to cash in those bonds a 50% loss becomes 500%.
Hence the BOE had to buy £65 BILLION of them to keep the prices up to stop basically all these companies from folding in a day.
They are still pumping money into it to keep it afloat I have read. These financial institutions are sitting on gargantuan unrealised losses.

If you can print money to basically prop it up it wont fail, but the money printing will cause inflation far greater than the yield of the bond.

I think we will see lower, but hopefully a bounce from here. If SHTF truly from here just make sure you have spare cash to buy more.

Just calculate holding for 5 years, reinvesting the dividend & compounding.

£2.35 is a good place to top up to bring the average down. £2.20 even better.
For months £2.63 wasn't broken, it's because the big money is selling there, look at the chart.
Demand is 220-230 currently, supply is 260. Learn that and it's easy.

Well about 23 MILLION bought/sold aftermarket. Tomorrow will either be a massive gap up or down. Does look like a right shoulder to me, so tentatively expecting a drop. Either way I'm happy, I have a good position in BATS and a some of cash ready for a drop.
