Well, the SP hit 140p so we all had the opportunity to buy some cheap! I made the most of it and increased my holding by 40% buying all the way down.

I saw some people capitulating and cashing in on the loss. Never do that, double down on the drop!

Have you seen FedEx numbers? Post and parcels are dropping, that mean carriers are about cut their work force, not pay them more.

True, if your horizon long-term holding and reinvesting the divs, go for it! I honestly see this giving a negative return for a couple of years, and I have better places to put my money.

I did buy a few today at 25% discount from the ones I sold at 270. 195 is a good support level, I think they'll be a good bounce off of it into next week as the people who sold at a loss realise their folly and buy back in. It's literally repeating the SP price action from 2018 to 2020 again.

Not sure if well see a drop to 170s or even 120s again though, unless there is war. And, as I've seen a lot of Gulfstreams flying into Farnborough today, considering what's been happening, it is concerning. Last time I saw this many was the day after the EU referendum, so something is going on.

It's called price action and they are the support levels.

As we are going into a recession, this is a very discretionary consumer company. It's going to get hit really hard.
From Dec '04 peak to July '08 bottom there was an 85% drop in SP.
We're only down 45% so far, so 85% from the peak gives £18.

It's happened several times before with the SP so why "is this time different?" :0)

BTW I sold the ones I bought at 59 for 64 made a good day's wage in a couple of hours.

It's a cyclical stock, look at the SP on the monthly chart. 237 was my support, it's gone back to 222 though. I missed it and bought back in in at 226. A lot of buying demand, buy I see Sburys is way off my target of 180p still, so I think TSCO might drop out of this ascending wedge to 207 or 191 and start a descending wedge downtrend. Still good for buying the dips!
