EPS Drop/buybacks.30 May 2024 12:01
Note, I sold most of my holding at the VWAP- 1.44p on the 10th of May.
UKW have been buying a lot of their own shares at the 135-137 range, seems to be keeping this afloat.
Profit for '23 was down to 5.44p. This is below '20 levels, and gives a PE ratio of 25 now.
Earnings per share are 5.44p, but they are paying 10p dividend, and are buying back at 25pe ratio.
They blame a lack of wind on power generation:
"Greencoat UK Wind: NAV Decline Was Largely Due to Lower-Than-Expected Power Generation"
"Greencoat UK Wind: This Was Due to Lower Availability, Including Outage at Hornsea 1 Facility, and Lower Wind Speeds"
I'm still holding some UKW. Energy prices are cheap currently, so this may be the time to buy. However there is the risk.
