Looks like capitulation here. Hopefully some big hedge funds will accumulate.

I've been holding UKW for a couple of years now, I didn't think we would see a return to 131 levels.

UKW/GBCPI shows in real terms where the support is, and that this is a great price to top up at. 2020 and 2016 were the last opportunities at this real price. So, as we are looking at increasing energy prices on the horizon again, I have snapped up some more.

UK to Ban Cigarette Sales to Young People Under New Law; London-listed Tobacco Stocks in Red

The UK government will introduce a new law that prohibits children aged 14 and below from buying cigarettes in England to phase out smoking among young people by as early as 2040.

The proposed legislation, which applies to anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 2009, is expected to boost the economy by up to 85 billion pounds sterling by 2075 and the health and care system's savings are expected to reach billions of pounds, according to a Wednesday release.

The government said the plan to create the first smoke-free generation will not criminalize smoking and is not expected to have any impact on individuals who can legally buy cigarettes now.

I sold at 7.20, just purchased again @ £6.50 ~ 10% less.

The article points out exactly what was written in my renewable energy unit in my BSc in 2008. Offshore wind will never be profitable, smaller, local, onshore and decentralised systems with energy storage working with other renewables like geothermal, tidal and PV with a small backup from centralised systems.

Literally saying that transitioning to wind energy is a pipe dream because of the costs of deep water fields is straw manning that all net zero will come from these increasingly expensive systems.

I have a feeling the preference of these projects is down the the massive subsidies and consultation fees that go into the pockets of the few multinationals and consultancy firms who line the pockets of our politicians. Such large scale is not possible with private, home or local based hybrid systems.

Google UK wind subsidies, it's quite obscene, seeing as wind energy companies made huge profits based on the crazy natural gas prices.

Look at the chart, this is good support since 2018. PE 8.7 Yield 9%.

In 2008 is dropped 32%, we are nearly there now from the most recent high.

This years seem to be a fair bit off of last year, so looks like around 4.5-5% for 2022/2023 I'm expecting a drop to around 5.30 ish level again, thus have sold out for that.

Energy is cyclical. I sold out a lot at 160, will be back buying at 120-140.

Why would any one bail out when this is a long term dividend payer now at a good value again?

I'm averaging 27 with dividends, so I'm underwater now, but I'm looking forward to years of earnings which, reinvested and diversified, should dwarf the initial lump sum.

The time to get out was 36gbp!
