Overseas holidays get green light from May 17.

Malta is on the list as probably green destination, so presumably cruising to there will be an option. Fungers crossed for more being added to the green list.

Simply playing catchup. All this is known. The SFO needcto get things wraped up. Criminal how they can kill a UK brand with no actual charges. Just their presence is enough to squeeze the life out and they've let it go on for 4 years already.

Did not expect a big rise but definitely did not see this finish red. Thats crazy for a company that has made a lot of profit despite a crazy tough environment. If they can make money now, imagine in a years time? Divi is pretty good so just wait and wathch is my view. Yes, id like to see SP up but that is only because on paper i will have made more money so would get a nice warm feeling inside. Not planning on selling any for many years, so no issues waiting for the market to catch up. Yes, i could have made more money on other shares but the risk was higher. I deliberately chose for the bulk of my portfolio low risk, good divi payers. Neither bp nor shell are bad choices in that respect.
In 3 years, id have safely doubled my money. All good here. Well done Barrie. Good call.

Good set of figures considering in q1 the pandemic lockdowns were still in fprce for large parts of the world and planes were largely grounded. I expect it will be more of the same for q2 but H2 is when things should start to motor. Markets will be happy but subdued until H2 IMO. Lets see what happens. ATB

Mickey, i did consider astute but blackrock are way bigger and have decided enough was enough so Capital are going against the grain when the company is already at a pretty low all time SP. If they are right, the SFO need to be investigating Capital as there will be a strong wiff of insider trading IMO.

Odd move to open a new short. Existing ones are reducing.

Big boys are not going to rush in or out like us. For those wanting a drop and are gloating about the lack of brisk rise, give it time. This is not AIM.

Great start to the year. No buy back in q2 planned as they expect to be in negative cash flow in q2. But should resume in 2nd half of the year. Steady rise from here. Divi not rising will act as a drag but recovery is well and truly on.

Hopefully a good omen for results to come. GLA

Seem to have decided its time to move on and have upended the plans of WQ, Cape and Engadine. These 3 recently increased their short positions and will be nursing some bruises. Hopefully they will also decide enough is enough and move on.

Money box, wow. Investing in the stock market requires patience. If you are expecting quick returns as may sometimes see at a casino, I'd reccomend trying AIM shares.
Wrt BP, hold on for 12 to 18 months minimum to see big gains with regular dividend collection in the meantime.
Absolutely keep an eye on the share price daily and be prepared to bail if there is a catastrophe such as the gulf of Mexico oil spill. Also it's quite addictive to watch so hard not to. Investing is emotional but keeping a lid on your emotions is required too.

Blackrock are still the highest holders of short positions but have massively reduced. Other two who have increased probably got caught out by blackrock moving in the opposite direction. Overall shorts are much reduced to a month ago so the two who have increased this week are taking a massive gamble. Can't see them not closing unless they have some info that the rest of us don't. I think they've been blindsided by blackrock. ATB
