Asian markets so far have not rocked us, the FTSE seems to have taken some comfort from the DOW JONES recovery yesterday, so unless a sideswipe then we’re looking good, nice spike on tullow opening this morning, the pull back is not dramatic, so if we can stay blue at the end of today I think that would be a good result. IMHO

Dows now over 700 points higher than it’s lowest today when the FTSE took a bashing by the close, it will be interesting to see how the Asia markets react in the early hours GMT.

I’m hoping the with the recovery of the Dow that the Asia markets may not get the jitters.

Time will tell tomorrow and maybe by Tullows results later this week we will be ok.

The Dow Jones hit a 6 month low when the FTSE closed today, but the Dow has had some recovery and is now 500 points higher, just hoping this is a good sign for the FTSE tomorrow if there’s any kind of correlation - thoughts ?

Think I spoke too soon this morning, tullow now accelerated its % drop and overtakes the FTSE, this share is the USANE BOLT of the 100m sprint, but then, I suppose it is a marathon rather than a sprint.

Just hope that the Russia / Ukrainian situation doesn’t take the wind out of tullows sails this week.

I must say that with the FTSE down normally Tullow magnifies the drop, on this occasion pleasantly we’re holding up very well.

Look promising for this week I think.

Personally, I think the resilience and rise of the share recently has shown the sentiment in Tullow currently, I can’t see negative news at the announcement next week and this can only push the share price higher - wishful thinking maybe but I feel much more confident in everything that Tullow has done to get the business in better shape and also oil is having a stormer in general.

JMAX - yes your correct in isolation, but the more good news that drips through the better and all the good news can only push the price higher and help the smaller investors cause.

Jeferries have certainly been very quiet on tullow over the past year, hopefully they’ll wake up very soon and give tullow a mention.

Great to see the last few days very positive, also the blue buys seem to be dominating the trades today, with a few ordinary purchases in the thousands ££

If this is because of Dorothy, I’ll take that all day long, let’s hope that positive news on Kenya (fingers crossed) can only compound the rise even further :-)

A blue day so far, nice to see and I ditto - onwards and upwards please, I for one would take a slow steady rise over a roller coaster any day.

TULLOW OIL PLC - BOARD UPDATE
16 December 2021 - In accordance with Rule 9.6.11R of the Listing Rules of the UKLA and the Listing Rules of the Irish Stock Exchange, the Company announces that Dorothy Thompson, CBE, will step down and retire as Chair of the Board on 31 December 2021 and Phuthuma Nhleko will be appointed Chair of the Board, effective 1 January 2022. The Company previously announced on 25 October 2021 that Phuthuma Nhleko would take over as Chairman following a suitable handover period.
In accordance with the provisions of the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code, following the AGM on 16 June 2021, the Company announced that 25.30% of votes were cast against Resolution 7 to reappoint Dorothy Thompson, CBE, as a non-executive director of the Board. Although the resolution was passed, our CEO and Senior Independent Director engaged with our major shareholders who voted against the resolution and incorporated their feedback into the search for our new Chair.

Yes and any bounce back always seems to leave the tullow SP short of where it fell from, I keep looking for the light at the end of the tullow tunnel, but every time I venture down that tunnel and follow the light there’s a little man sat on a stool with a torch who just switches the light off and falls off his stool p##sing himself at me. The only thing that’s keeping me sane is that this business is in much better shape than 12 months ago, we just need some good fortune

Investing in tullow lately has been like boiling vegetables in a pan, the longer your in the pan, the more the vegetables get burnt.

I class myself as a vegatable and I’m feeling burnt.

I too have plenty left in my isa to invest but hate that burning feeling, I’m certainly in danger of living up to my username.

Oil up massively since last year.
Debt down since last year
Recovery plan in place
No real bad news of late to speak about
