Hi Adieuk - I too have noticed these and to me they just don’t add up, if you look at the trade price (especially yesterday) that the shares went through at, largely they are all in excess of the closing price, what would be the point of someone doing this or are they missed trades during the day being swept up and accounted for at the end of the day - all a bit curious

eagernome - I was about to take some effort into wondering why all your 9 posts are just so negative - but then I blinked and realised the time it takes to blink is way too long to spend on wasting my time.

Oil Companies WINDFALL TAX - has anyone got any views on this subject and how and if it would affect Tullow?

Todays news - could this be the next thing to take the wind out of Tullows sails, especially as whenever we get any kind of announcement something always seems to overshadow any good news

- “It is understood there is currently no plan for any more financial support, tax changes or regulatory reform to be announced before MPs start a 10-day recess on Thursday – prompting claims Mr Johnson is distracted by the need to respond to “Partygate”.
Treasury officials are working up possible options for how to implement a windfall tax on the profits of oil and gas companies, as more Conservative MPs come out in favour of the proposed levy.
One possibility would be a “two-tier” tax, with the rate imposed depending on how much money the specific firm is investing into new fossil fuel exploration and renewable energy generation. “

STOCKBUSTER - I am not sure the debt repayment works like that, there will be penalties built in from the lenders for early repayment, I am sure this has been discussed on here before, the profit from the higher oil prices will certainly help though, but because of the high leveraging tullows profits will look meagre in comparison to other oilers which my well leave tullow looking less of a favourable investment to the markets - I may be wrong here.

We also have so many more unusual factors that are in the mix, these are not normal times and recent good news for Tullow has been short lived as the larger market influences has overshadowed and taken the wind out of its sails

What a bizarre close, ending in the blue, sharp bounce back, you just can’t figure it
