the money from the sold resources will presumably fund the purchase of the LWP which still had a sizeable amount to be cleared. I believe it was US$18m to fully pay off the purchase and the resource sales should bring in about US$19m over 20 months in total.

You missed what could be the most significant plus, the discovery of sulphide mineralisation under the oxides. That could make a massive difference to the value of Munkoyo if there's a sizeable orebody... let's hope thats the case and that the drilling results back it up.

To be honest if they had announced the sale a week or two earlier I would have sold up here and put it all into SLP! I would have been sitting on about £40K profit now rather than a paper loss. Oh well thats the way it goes.

I guess it all comes down to do you believe they can get enough support to vote the sale through? If they don't then the SP should more than double. If they do then who knows. Frankly I don't see it going through so I will continue to hold. Thankfully I have a decent chunk of cash which I liberated from various shares so I can add more if it looks favourable.

I honestly don't see how any investor, large or small, is going to think yes I will vote for the sale having read that. Unless there's something else Leon isn't telling us about the SA operations then they should be making a healthy margin right now which could help fund Zambia over time. The logic escapes me.

They need to actually get a deal over the line for financing these projects instead of the interminable "advanced negotiations". I certainly don't see anything that would make me want to vote yes to the sale of the SA operations as things stand. At least with Roan in production and Munkoyo shipments to Sable we should be looking at 6,000-7,000 tonnes / year of copper as a baseline.

The one bright spot for me is the discovery of sulphides below the oxide cap at Munkoyo, that could be a game changer if it turns out to be a significant orebody. As always we wait and see!

It is frustrating for sure, everything Jubilee does is shrouded in secrecy, even the successes in SA.

Regarding the tailings, the H1 update said "Kitwe Tailings project R&D programme progressing towards developing a viable process solution". Interesting that they only mentioned Kitwe tailings, which was the area with the highest grades and also contained cobalt. Glyleach can recover both copper and cobalt so maybe that looks the most attractive, especially at the moment with cobalt hydroxide prices on the up.

Gray, I think the tailings are very low priority at the moment, assuming you mean the tailings dumps in the north.

They are currently adding the leaching circuit at Roan and I would expect that is using Draslovka's glyleach process but we won't know that for sure until they tell us. The results of the glyleach testing that they did were published on one of the Draslovka webinars if you haven't seen them. They varied between about 70-80% recovery from memory, depending on the exact process used. All the trial results I've seen from other companies are in that ballpark as well so no reason to think it won't work as expected.

They have been running trials on the low grade material at Munkoyo but we won't see that plant operational until early next year.

Did Jubilee promise to publish the results of the LWP trails? Maybe they did but I don't remember them doing so. Leon said they let the agreement lapse because the results justified a better deal than was originally offered... I guess you either take that at face value or you think Leon is lying.

They gave initial figures for processing the mixed oxide/sulphide figures at Roan and it was in line with what they had modelled, albeit at a lower throughput rate. They have indicated that the LWP is made up of the same kind of mixed oxide/sulphides.

It can only be a matter of days until we get the circular and hopefully a lot of these questions will be answered and then people can find something else to argue about 😁

Ruthenium and iridium also up today, with ruthenium at its highest since 2007. They don't contribute much to the basket but it indicates that there's more going on than just tightness in the platinum market.

I don't see why everyone is in such a rush to see the circular. While the PGM basket continues to rise it makes the original deal look more and more undervalued.

Gray, I think there was some kind of bottleneck which meant that they could only produce a small amount of cobalt hydroxide before they started to take capacity from copper but they were expanding the cobalt circuit to remove that bottleneck. I'd have to read back through the RNS's to refresh myself on the details... seems like a lifetime ago now!
