Assuming that the constant selling is (at least in part) from the loan company that Mushinge lost his shares to, is it known how many shares were put up as collateral? Just wondering how much longer the sell off is likely to go on for.

HH being a successful businessman, I’m sure he will be very keen to investigate other revenue sources to improve Zambian finances in the short term and also to show that he is generating jobs for the youth that got him elected. Turning tailings from a burden into an asset has to be hugely appealing and I can see the potential for more JV’s like this in the near future.

I agree with you Turtlewax, apart from the suggestion that a deal has fallen through. All that’s happened is the exclusivity agreement has lapsed, AA are still involved in negotiations as of the last update on the matter. The only difference is that several other parties are also now involved.

If thats honestly what you think is going on then maybe Ella can provide the name of the person she spoke with at SP Angel and you (and any other investors who want to) can contact them as well. I might even contact them myself. Just to check everything is what it seems.

Honest it may be but it's also entirely incorrect.

With the current focus on the climate crisis I think electrification is going to be accelerated rapidly in the coming years and it’s inevitable that copper requirements will increase dramatically. A short term fall back isn’t going to stop the upward trend in the copper price in my opinion.

Thinking about it some more, it's more likely that the red 'streaking' which is originating from that big anomaly is surface copper which is being washed off and down the valley. Almost looks like a rust stain. No wonder its difficult to identify genuine anomalies with that across the whole valley!

Meanwhile, back at Fwiji... I checked the latest satellite image today and it looks like they are clearing another area for drilling, about 5km SW of last years drill site.

I decided to take a look at the other targets on our licenses (there are quite a few!), the one at the NE corner in particular has intrigued me. Taking a closer look at the topography for that area I realised that the northern part of our license sits in a bowl shaped depression which funnels down towards Cheyeza. The anomaly sits right at the head of that depression and is raised above it. If you look at the magnetic data, it's surrounded by blue which I think is the older, lower Roan rock, totally stripped of copper. Below the main anomaly you can see red 'striping' which I think is showing the direction the fluid flowed down. If you can visualise it in 3D it totally makes sense (to me anyway!). I put the Sentinel image in for scale, that anomaly is something like 6km long by 2km wide so at least as big (in terms of area) as Sentinel.... that could be where a big chunk of our missing copper is hiding. The only problem (if it is a problem) is that it is labelled as a protected forest area. I know that the area next to our license is protected so maybe Google Earth is a little off with its marker position!

Nice to see some steady buying this morning, maybe the tide is turning :-) I do get the feeling that someone is drip feeding sells into the market to keep the price depressed until news is announced.

I posted an elevation map of the dome on twitter over the weekend and it got me thinking about the direction of flow of the copper bearing fluids. According to David Wood, the fluid movement was across the whole of the dome and fluids will always try to move via the path of least resistance, ie, downhill. I've plotted another map which indicates fall direction across the dome, the majority falls toward the DRC which probably helps to explain the very good grades over there. The interesting part for us is the amount which is falling in the direction of ARC's licenses. If the grades directly relate to the amount of fluid falling in that direction then that could explain why we have been seeing higher numbers than the other Zambian deposits in this area. The more I look, the happier I get!

Here's a map of the probable drill locations from last year as identified by @Rocktapper. I checked the latest satellite image yesterday and they were clearing 2 new sites (smoke visible) which I've also labelled as 2021-location-a and 2021-location-b.

Forget that… I just realised what I was missing!

The PGM processing capacity has increased by 45% with the expansion of Inyoni so would that not imply the PGM target increasing by the same amount, ie, from 50,000 Oz pa to 72,500 Oz pa? Maybe I’m misunderstanding something.

Thanks Rocktapper, I've plotted those points and they do look pretty plausable, Nick said in one of the RNS that they had tested in excess of 1km square and those positions back that up. I would add one more which completes the square:

With the aid of some Blade Runner style image enhancement I'm pretty sure there's a drill rig at that location and what could be cores next to it (that might be wishful thinking though!).

There should be a new Sentinel 2 satellite image available this afternoon so I'll check and see if I can spot any movement in the rig locations from 5 days ago. Unfortunately the resolution is only 10m for those images so it's tricky to see anything on the scale of a drill rig, I only spotted them last time because they were casting a shadow!
