I took a look back at the copper in soil / EM combined map to see where they are planning on drilling at Fwiji. I think the ‘linear feature’ Nick talks about is the one highlighted in this map:

The original magnetic anomaly is just above the ‘linear feature’ and to the left of the Cu:Sc anomaly. The green stripes inside the highlighted area are magnetic anomalies interpreted to be layers, the dotted / dashed lines are interpreted to be folds / faults. I’ve included the key on the map so you can see for yourself :-)
Disappointed it’s taken so long to get started on the drilling (I wonder if there has been some last minute change of plan after reviewing the data) but excited to be underway again!

The copper scandium assay data has nothing to do with the drilling data, it was based on near surface soil samples over the whole license area.

How do you know that the assay results have been highly filtered?

How do you know that we are not already drilling? It would be highly unlikely that they would mobilise two drilling rigs at Fwiji and then have them sitting unused for the last 3 weeks. They have clearly been keeping comms to an absolute minimum (Cheyeza test work, Airborne EM and Drilling mobilisation all crammed into one tweet) which can only be at the request of AA.

Well yes and no…

Yes: drilling into sulphides will convince investors that copper is there

No: The copper scandium ratio data has already confirmed the presence of enriched sulphides. The EM anomalies which are very close to the Cu:Sc anomalies are showing the presence of large amounts of metallic material…. Very likely to be copper.

Anglo are well aware of all this which is why they are still in negotiations. Of course all the other interested parties now know this as well :-) Personally I still think a deal with Anglo is very much in play and they may be holding out for the initial drill results from Fwiji before agreeing on numbers.

@F79 Yes hopefully with all the information gathered so far and with the new higher resolution EM survey, they should be able to home in on the right areas!

@F79, from what we know of the drill locations at Cheyeza and Muswema it looks like they were chosen purely based on the surface copper map, all of the drill locations are in the areas of highest surface copper mineralisation. I expect that this is the same for Fwiji but we don’t have any drill locations for Fwiji. Obviously we are only seeing part of the picture and don’t have any geological information but I was surprised that we didn’t put in any drills closer to the EM anomalies at Cheyeza and Muswema (and probably Fwiji). Vassilios did mention in the last investor call that the new drill locations for this season were not in the same areas where they drilled previously but ‘next to them’. I take this to mean that they will be drilling closer to the anomalies but I could be wrong.

Not sure what the question marks are all about! Maybe because they spelled sulphides with an f instead of ph…

@Kully Here are a couple of quotes from the paper that David Wood co-authored:

“ If there is a contribution of Cu from a sul?de source, these samples will plot above the background linear Cu:Sc trend. If a corrosive hydrothermal ?uid has altered primary silicate minerals and removed copper from the rock, then these samples will plot below the back-ground linear Cu:Sc trend.“

“ Plotting the Cu:Sc ratio allows the discrimination of a genuine copper sul?de anomaly in a low Cu background (Fe-poor) rock from a high Cu back-ground in a ma?c rock.”

The Cu:Sc data that Anglo had assayed as part of the technical audit is already telling us that these are Sulphide deposits, we just haven’t drilled into the orebodies yet. That’s precisely why Anglo are so interested… they know that there are sulphides at Fwiji, Cheyeza, Muswema and several other places. It’s just a matter of how much!

Thanks for the advice but frankly your posts are a steaming pile of horse dung :-) If you keep repeating it maybe the smell will go away, who knows. I doubt it though. It’s nice that you finally acknowledged that ARC has lots of COPPER though… first sensible thing you’ve said!

The thing is their ‘facts’ are nothing more than supposition presented as fact… even a cursory look and their whole argument falls to bits. I guess it might convince the gullible though, which is presumably what they are hoping for. Hey if they think they can force the share price lower, have at it…. I get the opportunity to improve my average :-)

It’s funny these deramper sorts are very careful to NEVER MENTION THE COPPER! I wonder why :-). It’s very easy to ignore all of their nonsense when you’ve done your homework and know exactly what all the clues point too…. COPPER! EVERYWHERE!

He’s definitely a paid lackey for Mushy. Since the ‘tantrum’ over Kalaba they’ve been pursuing the same line, which has already been debunked despite all the insinuations otherwise. Let’s face it Mushinge is an irrelevance now, things have moved on.

You are probably right about taking a break, there is little to be gained from trying to discuss with people who clearly have their own agenda. It just annoys me that these people benefit from the knowledge shared by genuine investors here and then try and shaft them…. Some people clearly have no moral compass when there’s money involved.

Having an appetite for processing copper or not isn’t really the point. The point is that it’s an option and a big bargaining chip in negotiations. To negotiate from a position of strength you have to have options… which we have, NvS has been very smart in that regard. We don’t need to fold and accept a low offer, AAL know that.

Negotiations are still ongoing. There was absolutely no benefit to us extending the EA further with more companies clamouring to speak to us. I don’t know what you ‘suspect’ but it’s to be expected that both sides are playing hardball over what is likely to be a substantial deal. The fact that nothing has been agreed as yet means absolutely nothing and frankly its pointless to speculate until we know more.

I’m sure that Rothschilds will be delighted to have your feedback on their performance so far…. Despite knowing absolutely nothing about what’s going on!

Why are you saying there’s no deal… we are still in negotiations. Try and stick to the facts.

If we were too far apart in the negotiations then they would have been ended with the EA. The fact that we are still in negotiations tells me that both parties think there is still a deal to be done. Having other interested majors enter discussions will certainly sharpen Anglo’s mind. Add in a bit of jeopardy with drill results from Fwiji and things will get interesting :-)

Ella I would be more than happy to go onto every other share that you post on and give them a heads up about your insidious deramping….. the choice is yours :-)

Price already recovering… I feel a bit sorry for people selling at a loss when essentially nothing has changed with AA, we are still in negotiations. I feel just as confident as I did yesterday that we are sitting on a minimum of 3 large copper deposits… why would you be selling anything at these prices?!
