The fact that we already had several offers on the table a year ago when the price of copper was considerably lower tells you all you need to know about the downside if a mutually agreeable deal cannot be negotiated with Anglo. In short there is very little if any downside from where we are now…. The upside however…. :-)

The lady leading the discussion is a senior advisor on mining to Rothschild & Co…. I wonder if she is the one advising us on the present negotiations!

It’s worth a watch if you haven’t (for Remy’s contributions at least). At one point he made the very point that it was hard to get the right kind of financing because most investment companies simply didn’t understand the potential, having no geological knowledge.
Rewatching it again (from about 29 min) he also says they already had several offers on the table before the EA was signed…. How did I miss that last time! He also mentioned several Chinese players had been onsite multiple times and a near neighbour… who I take to be FQM.

Anyone who has done even a little bit of research will be aware that this is far from being a punt.

I’m sure plenty of potential investors will be looking at the share price and thinking, 5p with a potential deal with a major mining company just around thee corner…. Surely something must be wrong here? I was thinking about this myself and I’ve come to the conclusion that most investors (including II’s) don’t have a clue about geology or geophysics and the only way they will believe that ARC are sitting on a major copper resource is when we actually drill through one of the ore bodies. That puts those who DO have some understanding or are prepared to do the research at a major advantage right now. All the clues are there in plain sight but you need to be able to put them together to see the full picture. I’ve tried to do that over the last few months and I am totally comfortable with where we are. So is this worth a punt? No. Is it worth taking the time to understand the full picture and basing your investment decision on that…. Absolutely. Don’t take too long about it though :-)

Is it a given that JLP will go ahead with some kind of joint venture with Caerus? I know they have some high grade tailings but are they large enough in scale to be worth JLP’s while to get involved with and will they need to be trucked around the island for processing? I haven’t been paying much attention to Caerus so I may well have missed some recent updates.

Thats the way I would have read it too Orowe, although it just states "commencing in January 2021" so maybe they agreed on the date of the RNS for the start of the extension?

I would expect that if the drilling crew was mobilising at Fwiji on Friday then they should be drilling by now. There might be time for one deep drill before the EA end date..... assuming we get that far!

Also the new airbourne EM survey should have kicked off (or be imminent) following completion of 2 weeks quarantine. Maybe waiting for both to get going before issuing another RNS.

Anyone who is invested in this company is concerned about exactly those things. Traders on the other hand…. Not so much. You are definitely not alone though, I’ll give you that… plenty of you have shown up here today! :-)

NorEsco, you seem to have wandered past the avenue where Arc are sitting on some of the best copper asserts in Africa which several mining companies are extremely interested in. Maybe you want to double back and have a good look down there…. Or doesn’t that fit your narrative?

You can ignore my point all you want but it doesn’t change the fact that a no deal isn’t the end of the world that you want to make it out to be.

You seem to want to paint a picture that no deal is a disaster. If you understand the assets that we have then you will understand that no deal just opens us up to the rest of the market and a potential bidding war. We already know that FQM and the Chinese have been on site and want to talk to us. I have no concerns at all about a possible no deal although personally I think that’s unlikely.

Nick also said that the 'issue' with Mushinge was a non issue and he didn't have a leg to stand on regarding court action. You seem to be trying to talk yourself into selling or trying to talk others into selling, I'm not sure which!

What matters to me is the potential for our licenses and everything I've seen with the data we have available, points to them being very very good. There are only a few areas around the dome which have the right geology and faulting for copper to migrate and accumulate. Sentinel is one, most of the others are within our licenses.... so where is that missing copper?

I am not expecting anything more from Sturec considering that the mine was operated previously for years with an average grade of 1.5%. It's possible that they might suddenly stike a rich vein but I'm not counting on it. Anyway that and Casa are just side issues as far as I'm concerned.

Plenty of buys ahead of the 6 monthly update. I’m sure there will be an plenty of sells after they are released too. It’s tempting to buy more as a trading pot but certainly not selling any of my long term holding. Opportunities like this don’t come along all that often on AIM.
