I would recommend everyone filter G-Man11 and NorEscO, they are just trying to fill the board with negative sentiment and distract from what’s going on…. If you want a proper discussion bin them.

Did someone just say Voisey Bay? :-). We just need some positive drill results now for this to really take off… very happy they are still pushing for fair value.

Maybe Peggy is going to be correct and it will be jam tomorrow! ;-) It would be nice to have a definative end date for the EA, all we know is somewhere between monday and wednesday. Either way at least we will get some news tomorrow or early next week.

I’m expecting to see the share price rising a bit this week, I think the derampers have taken it as low as they can, now is the time to get onboard in anticipation of the main event :-) Cue the rampers!

He also seems to be basing his numbers on a 30% market share which seems very low based on what we know so far.

The end of the exclusivity agreement doesn’t necessarily mean the end of negotiations, it just means that we are then free to talk to other parties as well. We know there have been enquiries from several companies during the last year and I have no doubt they will be fighting to get through the door at the first opportunity. In my opinion all the pressure is on Anglo to present an acceptable offer before the end of the agreement, not on Arc. I do think we will get some positive news this week, either a deal of some sort or a short extension to conclude negotiations. I don’t think Anglo will want the door to open to other suitors and risk a potential bidding war.

My mistake, I assumed it was just the airborne survey crew that had to quarantine.

@apro, I think the drilling delay is purely due to the late rains in the area making access difficult. As Vassilios said in the IC, drilling through the rainy season is not a problem, its getting the infrastructure in place, so they would have had to wait for the ground to be dry enough to get the drill rigs etc on site. I agree with you that they would be keen to start drilling ASAP, I just hope all this preparation has allowed them to pick the correct drill locations!

They tweeted that the drill rigs were mobilising at Fwiji over a week ago so I would imagine they have been drilling for a while already, they wouldn’t have them on hire doing nothing all this time.
I don’t see that start of drilling has any bearing on the EA. Surely they want to get drilling ASAP, regardless how negotiations are progressing, lets face it we will be able to demand a much higher price with positive proof of a large ore body.

Fulmar yes, you are probably right, just being overly optimistic!

Looking back at earlier drilling, it took about 2 weeks from start of drilling to announcement of the first two drills at Cheyeza (using two drilling rigs). It might be a bit optimistic but maybe we could see some early results from Fwiji this week. Positive results there would set the cat well and truly amongst the pigeons :-)

I was reading the geological interpretation of Fwiji from the RNS:
“The current interpretation for Fwiji postulates that the copper mineralization is hosted in the hinge of plunging south westerly anticline. Near surface oxide mineralization is expected to be intersected with the primary sulphide mineralization down plunge.”

If you look at the magnetic anomaly at Fwiji, where is it in relation to the surface mineralisation…. South West! The pieces of the jigsaw are falling into place…. 5p is looking very VERY cheap! :-)
