I just had a look at the latest satellite images from today and I can see that one of the rigs has moved to a new location. From what I can see it looks like there are two rigs in operation and the three locations are almost exactly 1km apart, as was mentioned in the previous RNS.

Obviously the main target is Zambia, plenty of us have been here years waiting on it because we recognise the potential.

The Casa deal has the potential to make us a lot of money down the line, I certainly don’t view it as a distraction. Botswana is still early stage but if they announce good results then the needle will most certainly move.

Is the odious Ella trying to talk us down again? As he has been doing for MORE THAN A YEAR!? I’m calling trader.

Regency Silver Corp. just announced they are trading on a new exchange this morning. If they are the company behind Regency Mining then that might be the hurdle to releasing the new stock.

Assuming a drill rate of 1m / hour the drilling should have reached at least 350m by now, if they are still drilling the same hole(s) of course. Could we get some news in the morning? Let’s hope so!

Maybe the potential change in strategy is connected with Ollie coming in. We know he has plenty of high level connections, maybe he is looking at bringing in external backing for a new refinery. Just a thought.

I must admit I was surprised that Leon said they were discussing the option to build a new refinery for the northern strategy, everything I’ve seen suggested they were going ahead with refurbishment at Mopani. Even as recently as the March presentation they were emphasising the number of brownfield sites in Zambia which could be repurposed. Has something changed to make them consider a greenfield refinery?

Leon said the refinery choice was key to planning of the capacity of the new copper concentrators. That makes me wonder if they are thinking about a larger operation than is possible through Mopani? He said a decision would be made in the next 60 days or so… all will be revealed in due course!

Anglo American revised down their PGM target for the year yesterday due to problems at their smelter, that may have been a factor in the jump in PGM prices.

Ella has, shall we say, a strong affinity with Colin Bird’s companies. He has been spotted on all of them at one time or another, including one of my other holdings, Jubilee Metals, which he later claimed never to have heard of! Bit of a slip up that wasn’t it Ella :-) We know the there were some dodgy dealings going which allegedly involved Bird and our former Director Mushinge (you can see the sordid details on Ruffles’ Twitter timeline if really interested), and when that was made public Bird was ‘retired’ by Jubilee shortly afterward. I suspect there my be some residual bitterness still there, although to paraphrase Gone with the Wind, frankly my dear, I no longer give a damn :-)

Thanks for the info Kaiser, I checked the latest annual report on the Kendrick Resources website and they are still claiming the 11% royalty. I’ll add it to my sheet for the sake of completeness, it may be relevant if / when that project finally gets off the ground.

No problem guys, it’s mainly for my own benefit to try and keep track of where the company is at but happy to share if it helps anyone else.

One thing I haven’t accounted for is the royalty agreement with Berkeley Mineral Resources (recently risen from the dead as Kendrick Resources) over the Zn, Pb and V dumps at Kabwe. All of that was just before my time but from what I can make out Kendrick has an 11% royalty interest in the Kabwe project but Jubilee has a 29% interest in Kendrick Resources! Maybe someone with more knowledge can confirm or deny this. I assume that’s what the other posters were interested in the status of Kabwe for.

Looks like that news has got them panicked…. Trying to bury it with rubbish posts. Don’t worry I know all the tricks :-) It probably needs reposting with a more obvious title though, so nobody misses it! :-)

I wonder if that means AA have received assurances about the licenses from the Minister of Mines… they must be very confident of things progressing to be recruiting. Maybe the paperwork has already been fast tracked in the background and the licenses will be magically sorted as soon as the Cadastre re-opens…. We can only hope :-)

Nice find! That’s the first time I’ve seen Anglo American recruiting for any jobs in Zambia. I thought maybe it was a scam because it’s not listed on the main website but I just checked on LinkedIn and it’s there:
