Thankfully I’m going out for an afternoon session shortly so I can drink to forget those two ;-)

It’s easy to justify, traders bought in this morning knowing the news would push the price up and then sold again when it stopped. Don’t go looking for stories that don’t exist.

All of the licenses that they have marked (inc the Zaco one) are ones which need renewing already.. I think those are being marked as priority

The minister also said they were convening the licensing committee immediately to clear the backlog of licenses so it’s possible by the time the cadastre re-opens our licenses have already been dealt with.

Minister for mines says that new investment in Mopani is in very advanced discussions so there should be an announcement on that in the near future. I don’t know if that will have any bearing on JLP decision on refurbishment or new build but a healthy Mopani will be good for infrastructure (electricity, water etc)

You may remember earlier in the year Nick went to Zambia and personally had a meeting with the Minister for Mines… that’s how you do business in Africa, face to face. I’m pretty sure all of these issues were discussed as well as the AA deal… the wheels are starting to turn again!

Cadastre reopens on Wednesday 19th.

They aren’t seeking pleasure, they are seeking money. Sadly some people have zero scruples and are quite happy to do anything to get it. Very sad way to live your life.

I don’t read the other board as frankly one is more than enough! Isn’t Sharestar the same shady character as Ella on here? If so then no there is no ‘truth’ in anything as they know exactly the same as we know! Why not just wait and see how things pan out?

We’ve got more than two already; 23004-HQ-LEL, 23005-HQ-LEL, 19906-HQ-LEL, 24958-HQ-SEL. I believe we also still have 28700-HQ-LEL (Afrimin Resources) because if you listen to the start of the last investor call, Nick states the size of our tenements as “some 800 square kilometers” and the only way that can be true is if you include the Afrimin license area. If you DON’T include that area and also remove Kalaba its nearer to 600km2.

At renewal those Zaco licenses will need to be split in half (as per licensing regulations) as happened previously to get Handa and Afrimin. So we may see more new companies created…. Hopefully we shall see soon enough.

You can check it yourself by clicking each license area in the cadastre where it lists the area in hectares. Add them all up and divide by 100 to get km2.

You are going to have to put a shift in Ella, I’m expecting the share price to start rising on news of the Cadastre reopening :-)

The blocked areas have never had a license issued so that is total horse dung!

It will be interesting to see where the 40 ‘blocked’ licenses are located and if any are close to our area. There is one area south of the big Zaco license which has had its license removed and there is the area to the North which is near Nyambwezu. They could be very useful additions for AA.

I’m sure the details will be revealed in due course but they won’t want to do anything to discourage the major’s from investing, quite the opposite.

There will be a few nervous people holding many many licenses who might find that either they are stripped of ownership or are unable to renew them at the next renewal and will suddenly be very keen to sell!

I wonder if they are going to apply that retrospectively or just going forward. Some of the big miners have more than 5 licenses at the moment.
