Anglo start off with 70% ownership on signing of the JV, they have to invest US$24m in drilling and pay Arc US$14.5m within three and a half years of signing the JV in order to retain a 51% ownership at the end of phase 1. It doesn’t specifically say what they need to spend on drilling each year but the implication is around US$8m a year. As Nick mentioned in the investor call, that doesn’t mean they are limited to US$24m in the first phase… if they find something significant they can always accelerate the drilling.

I think its a bit of a master stroke by Arc and Rothschilds because there is a big incentive for Anglo to make a discovery within phase 1 or they risk the 70% dropping to 51% and then having to spend more time and money getting it back again. If they are still drilling after phase one then they must be confident of finding something and at the same time Arc then owns 49% of whatever that is! In practice if they find something significant within phase one then I would expect a major player coming in to buy out our 30% at that stage.

Bluebelly, this was my post from a couple of weeks ago for FY2023, nothing has changed substantially since then:

“I just did a quick re-calculation of estimated FY2023 earnings based on average metals prices since 1st July:
Assuming 10% of cobalt production capacity: US$ 92 million
Assuming 100% of cobalt production capacity: US$ 126 million

Getting an update on the cobalt circuit in the next quarterly RNS (hopefully in the next couple of weeks) could indicate where in that range we are likely to be.

Other unknowns:
Copper production costs could be substantially less than previously stated now that they are in full production.
The effects of the load shedding in South Africa are not accounted for. Most likely this will be additional fuel costs rather than lost production time.“

Turns out the announcement was a new discovery on their current exploration area in Mexico…. And relax :-)

I’m not sure either, it would certainly be something out of their normal exploration area but they do have a subsidiary company called Regency Mining Ltd, and they are registered on the Canadian exchange. Anyway we will see soon enough.

It amazes me that Ella still bothers, everyone knows what a devious little so-and-so it is. I imagine Ella’s the sort who always tries to avoid getting a round in at the pub. Then again with that personality it would be a small round anyway! :-)

At the end of the period we had £2.348m, add another £1m in warrants (roughly) plus US$250,000 from Casa deal with another US$1.25m in shares expected, plus more than US$5m in Tingo shares which could be part sold if required...

We are hardly on the bones of our arse.

From the annual report:
“ As announced on 29 April 2022, Arc concluded a transaction for its interest in Casa and accepted 3 million shares in Tingo Inc. (OTC:TMNA) in settlement of the USD 5 million loan note.”

We no longer own any interest in Casa. Golden Square are now selling it on to Regency Mining and as part of that deal we should receive the Canadian shares. We do still have the original NSR agreement of course. That’s my reading of it anyway.

That’s just a side issue though, which presumably the human barnacles are focusing on to draw attention away from all of the other points I made.

PS, just in case there was any misunderstanding, what you deserve is 12-18 months with no time off for good behaviour :-)

Don't be fooled by the likes of NorEscO, Travelcard, gbavt and the rest who are only here to discourage people from buying and keep the share price down. In recent months we've seen the majors jumping into bed with junior explorers all over the Copperbelt and none of them have anything like the potential that our licenses have. Why would anyone in their right mind (apart from the 10%'ers) want a buy out when we stand to hold 30% of potentially multi-billion dollar assets... and in the best case scenario more than one of them!

No need to hope, you are hopelessly wrong on all counts.

Why would anyone in their right mind (apart from the 10%'ers) want a buy out when we stand to hold 30% of potentially multi-billion dollar assets... and in the best case scenario more than one of them!
