El, yes up to speed now. I agree I would say calibre are undervalued and a good punt atm . They are however larger than either cnr strategy ,debt free and $60 odd m cash in hand . They are our closest comparison though . Thats why I said 5-8 . Shg and aaz which I am in are around 8 from memory ,rio 11.77 with a 6.5 pc dividend . I think the figures for 2004 may be optimistic .ie I doubt that cnr will be in full commercial production at the begining of 2004. Thus I doubt cnr will be debt free before 2006 personally . Who knows where the gold price,or the oil and electric price will be by then. Gold may absolutely rocket ,or it may crash or a combination of both .bfs cannot predict these scenarios .
I agree most mines go into production and prove up resources out of revenue . I think it the case that cnr has always primarily looked towards sale rather than production and could have gone into production sooner with less proven up and prove it later . I have never argued the economics of the project , and personally if a sale doesnt materialise then in time cnr holders should get rewarded finally .my argument has always been the timescales and dilution that many never even consider when coming up with their calcs.

I see good early stagers for good gains in the short medium term and good producers for dividend and growth .cnr is the odd one out for me but always going to keep a holding here out of doggednes and the fact I bought back in free with ncyt profits . Simms , I think most would take shareholder return to mean dividends but yes obviously when cnr is throwing off cash when debt free we would certainly expect it to be used in a way to improve the sp and saleability. I would go with his two year scenario for debt free which brings us to 2006 , then depends on if we go for underground as that would be funded from revenue as well as any further drilling . If 5 or 10 m oz to be proved up thats a hell of a lot of drilling .calibre currently have a budget of $18 m for this years exploration and 16 drill rigs.
Btw just noticed on the calibre site they state that they are in a joint venture with rio exploring for copper.

Mc clearly states 97 per cent land at begining .when he is describing the clearing of land he states full ownership ,assumably of the area being cleared.
The article seems a bit unclear to me .for the smaller option on one hand it states $74 m cash for the year but also that all costs paid off in one year .$38m for equity possibly doubling the number of shares. 74 and 38 gives $112 m .his two years to pay off debt sounds more feasable to me .
The other anomoly To me is that it first states that the last 3 years will be reduced to 47 k oz pa so I am not understanding how it throws off 35 p for 7 years when the last 3 are at half production?
Its a bit late and I am only a woodworker but seems odd.
I am assuming that things like the mill and possibly land aquisitions and all prep that we are funding is covered in the capex so cnr will not probably be raising the full ammount .

Nero, A little bit more perspective, calibre our closest peer although already larger than our projected production are sitting on a p/e of just over 5 ,the largest gold miner on the planet around 18 . A p/e between 5-8 is my uninformed guess when debt free.
I havnt had time to watch yet but to be able to predict an eps you must have the number of shares .what is that number ? What is the number of shares you have used to calculate your projected sp?
Yes, bfs is the closest projection you can get .I would imagine pur and hum had one so still no guarantee.
Agree should be good payback in about 5 years time for shareholders if all goes to plan and not been taken out. Think some may be missing the fact though that the underground mining is to be financed from revenue.

Hi el , reduced my holding but still in .I am always transparent with my buys sells . I have a different way of investing to some here .I am not under water . No I dont have disrespect for lth just the couple of agressive ones . If you want to personally attack posters in the manner that nero and a few others do you must expect a response and validation . My average is around 40 p and I am quite happy at £1 for a realistic return. Its actually fact that many here over this long period have eventually become more realistic.

Proffesor, good link .what I note is the m cap fenix is $24 m .not exactly telling me that £1 by christmas is likely here. I also note that outcrop with sprott holding 18 per cent of their stock is a similar m cap last time I looked. I think we are probably around fair value but the right news will push the sp up hopefully .
Interested to see where the new project leads and obviously there may be other concessions or deals to come .

Dr r ,reading through the various articles for gold in the ground it was interesting to note that it states that beyond a certain point of resource grading there was little difference in the price per oz beyond that point so concur that nm may yet again sell well before a bfs if the right offer came in .

I am on a few different boards that have other topics discussed ,could be football or other investments. Lets be honest there is very little to actually discuss cnr related generally apart from the never ending reasons why cnr is going to re rate and then come up with excuses why nope that didnt do it. Thats pretty boring and irritating too . It only becomes an argument and takes up more space because certain posters want to make it an argument but those same posters are exactly the same with a cnr related viewpoint if it doesnt correspond to their views .

Gold in the ground is the way you would value a miner .obviously it is too early for that yet as we have no resource estimate yet. This article states that 6-10 years after pfs for production .we are a fair way from a pfs . Gold in the ground valuation are different for the different categories. So if you are going to do a calc ,what level of jorc are you going to work from and then what size resource . Then duduct 75 per cent . it is all way too early imv to come up with any serious valuation . Presently we are valued on sentiment until we have a resource .obviously as everybody continually states ,having two of the largest miners very much helps with sentiment early on. Personally I will try and read the sentiment and make the best call in the short to medium term . Good luck with your research .

Biker, I generally trade a portion of my holding if I have a decent holding .omi is currently my largest holding outside of crypto. I will look to sell some shares at around 25 p but may lift that limit sell if we are motoring fast and I get in quick enough.if it carries on to 40 p thats fine ,just means my holding is free ,and I like that. If it drops back I will re buy sub 20 p .currently fully loaded , missed the last brief spike but hoping not to next time. crazy not to trade imv. Shares never go up in a straight line, particularly speculative extractives. Good luck with your investments.

Sharetrader I am not saying that nobody that buys in the thirties cannot bag in time. I too expect gradually as resources are proved up for the sp to strengthen but it is pretty obvios that posters that were encouraging buying close to 40 p were at best very misguided and if you want to generically divide the board into ramp/de ramp ,unashamed rampers that were likely selling.
I stick with my assertion that sub twenty is the time to buy and obviously gives a far better chance of a multibag. I am not saying it is impossible for a multibag from 38 p but not very likely at all in the short term . Anyhow, lets see on Dec 31 £1 .lets see ?

Biker,conversely when the sp is around 38 p and certain posters are posting that they are buying just before the sp collapses you should question that no ? I sell when the sp is spiking ,while most are busy ramping. I rebuy when it drops down . Recently during the last spike certain posters posting they are buying in mid twenties .Either they are lying or just a bit stupid as it was fairly obvious it was going to drop lower.
Not putting doubt in anybodys mind .I still hold, just disagree with the more unrealistic guestimates.
I bought at 4 p so am not in the more desperate locked in category that some are quite likely sitting .

Hi phoebus, I just like to take it step at a time 15-20 p would be great and very achievable . Peeps over on omi getting a bit too carried away imv . I think with the right results ,this could be a better comparisson with ggp but I never like to base investments on the best case scenario so await results . both good bets but I like to keep my feet on the ground . Got a small holding in palm and cobr too . Most of the rest of my goldies are producers .
