Weekend News Summary3 Aug 2025 14:49
Obviously great news to see China come out and publicly back the BNP for the up-and-coming election, also great news for those that follow the charts to see Zak Mir state once again that with his new chart prediction, he expects GCM to reach a higher price of 10p by the end of next month, then we have the finalised July Charter being announced on Tuesday 5th along with hopefully an official election date, which should be no later than February, but will it be bought forward, lets see, and then lastly again a great article “Domestic Coal Expansion Plan” which states that “Bangladesh’s plan to extract 10 million tonnes of coal annually” which could only be Phulbari and Open Pit Mining…
So obviously a nice positive weekend of news, and should be an interesting / exciting week ahead ….

4) Domestic Coal Expansion
“Bangladesh’s plan to extract 10 million tonnes of coal annually”
“Despite its low domestic coal output—currently under 1 million tonnes annually from the Barapukuria mine in Dinajpur—Bangladesh ranks third in South Asia in proposed coal mining capacity, with nearly 10 Mtpa in the pipeline.”
Government officials argue that developing domestic coal is essential to reducing import dependence and improving energy security. They also justify coal expansion as part of a broader transition away from traditional biomass to more modern energy sources.
