Just my thoughts...
I'm in here at a six figure level...and the first digit isn't a One.
After a pretty stressful week, with all the ups and downs, I feel strangely sanguine about my Avacta holding today.
I'm realising that, what was in my thoughts initially as being a 'covid' play, has subtlety transitioned in my mind to being a serious medium/long term investment in an extremely exciting company with the potential of an incredibly disruptive technology at it's fingertips. I now regard the diagnostics tests as being a massive bonus when they happen.
I was slightly disappointed with Alistair's afternoon performance, but much cheered by the evening event. I guess that was because he put more emphasis on the therapeutics side of things in the earlier presentation and seemed on the whole a little bit blaze about the LFT and BAMS tests. Possibly an error on his part, but a forgivable one in hindsight. After all, he's a scientist first and foremost and is therefore naturally more excited about the prospects of taking a giant leap forward in the field of cancer treatment than he is in a couple of antigen tests. I think he redressed that perceived imbalance in the evening performance (I guess in no small part due to him being shocked by the afternoon share price action) and acknowledged the substantial contribution the antigen tests have made to the company's meteoric rise.
Hope it works out great for everyone invested here and hope it's a slightly less stressful journey going forward!
